Thank you for the video! Correct if I'm wrong, but I was told that if you use a graphic designer, they own the rights to your design. Is that true?

Ree Cee if that's the case then all the designs on clothes from major labels they wouldn't own those either.

Ree Cee if they own the rights then how could a person sell their clothes which might be the intended purpose in the first place

      Ree Cee from design crowd:
When you buy a design from DesignCrowd, ownership of that design transfers to you. Note that you do not own all the designs submitted to a Design Contest, only the design that you eventually select, purchase and download. Note that before you select a design, the copyright of the designs is held by the respective designers.

I'm a graphic designer and I have friends who are designers. Typically it's pretty much understood that when we do tshirt designs for people and they purchase the design then it's specifically their design and we're not going to use it or sell it to multiple people.
I mean I suppose there are scumbag designers out there who would, but I personally wouldn't. If you're really concerned see if you can get a simple contract drawn up and have them sign it.

I contacted a graphic designer & he mentioned he'd want royalties to whatever I sold that he designed for me. I was like "Oh hell no!"

Need video! But, I rather learn how to do it and own the rights to my designs.

Herman Knight when theyndesign for you..you buy the design and you own the rights to it
