This video was so helpful for me. I want to use barcodes to keep track of my reselling inventory. I am familiar with Avery products and have some of their labels already, which will save money as well. Most of my inventory is homemade items; so generating my own barcode system is essential. Thank you.
Thank you for this helpful tool but unfortunately it doesn’t work (for me) in square. So I created a UPC-A number by generated the name of product in numbers and I was able to scan that in square. I want to sell my product in other retail stores as well so will see if this works otherwise I have to buy a UPC-A number. 🤞🏻
Hey I am from India and own a small business and after searching and watching so many channels related to this subject, I happened to come across your channel and thanks for such an informative n the way you had explained to generate a barcode with such an ease. Just wanted to know which scanner to use to read or scan these barcodes. TIA
Amazing! but one thing I don't understand is how this type of label can be used if you have your products in someone else's stores? Would I have to add all details so they know what they have scanned? EG: Pearl Powder 100g $89 Or would they have to enter this manually first in their system?
Thank you, it's very helpful! 1. Can I make any barcode I want? With any numbers & letters? Will any scanner be able to read the letter as well? 2. Also, how do I know if someone else is using the same number for their own product?

I’m not sure how to do that I use Square point of cell so with each item that’s in the computer you type in the item name and price and then under the SKU that’s where I scan the barcode and it automatically as long as it’s in my computer system. It automatically puts it in their cart for the right price, it only works for items that are sold by the pound . These are not price computing barcodes.

I haven’t actually use the barcodes yet to track inventory or to add inventory but I will try that and see if I can get it to work on my Square system because yes that would be a lot easier than going into each item and just adding the inventory that’s what I currently do
Wonderful and simple video BUT I must say this may have some misunderstanding. If you create your own barcode in this way that does NOT mean that somehow that magically puts that info into the PoS system. For example, at most major retailers, we are all used to the UPC barcode system. That stands for universal product code, which is a predetermined preestablished code. That means if Walmart scans the PC or Crookers scans, the PC comes back with the same information. But how is it that if the prices are different at those two retailers That the system is able to differentiate well that’s because there are certain edible fields with UPC’s that tie in with the POS system of that particular retailer. So what I’m saying is is if you create this barcode, you are only giving it a name basically and that is not the entire picture to create What you are thinking or what you may be thinking you’re creating.
