Dude, this is not falsetto Because, he has a 4-5 octave range normal voice. He sings both female and male “voices”., He has the most beautiful voice… doesn’t matter if you are male or female…. His technical abilities are the instrument he plays (said by Bryan)

I was a fan instantly from his first appearance on American Idol. I even went to the tour show they put on for the Idol performers. It was worth it to sit through all the others just to hear him.
I have NO IDEA why he's not even more famous, his voice is gorgeous.

Check out Adam Lambert covering Cher's "Believe" at the Kennedy Center Honors. He received a standing ovation and actually had Cher crying!! His performance was phenomenal!!

He’s by far the best male vocalist of his generation. His pitch is perfect. saw how amazing he was when he was on American Idol. The only reason he lost was because he was outed in a newspaper or magazine right before the finale and the LBGTQ community was not accepted then like they are now. There is no possible way he could have lost otherwise. He was head and shoulders above the competition. The funny thing was he got crap for not being out by the LBGTQ community because they decided he was hiding and not out and proud. His response is that he was out to all of his family and loved ones, he didn’t realize he had to announce it to the entire world in order to be out. He thought it was none of their business. 9:16
Thanks for listening to Adam.. I pretty much avoided him b/c I couldn't hear anyone "taking Freddie Mercury's place".. but when I finally did hear him playing with Roger & Brian, I understood his incredible talent and respect for Freddie's songs... I also know that Freddie never cared if anyone played or sang his music..(he famously said: "I don't care what you say or do with my work after I'm gone.. just don't make me boring") and pretty sure that he would have approved of Adam...
His vocal technique is virtually flawless. There's no noticeable break between his registers, he has a brilliant understanding of how to manipulate his vowels to get the best sound, his runs are seamless, his very forward tongue placement when he goes high helps really open those notes up, and he makes everything seem so EFFORTLESS! I know he had a little bit of operatic training, but he's able to combine that with his pop/rock style, give you the distortions, growls, and cries. All in all, I think he's one of the best singers working today.
Adam Lambert is a once in a generation vocalist. He can literally sing anything! Loved your reaction. Feel Something from the same album and also a live performance is so moving. Listen to his live version of Who Wants To Live Forever at Isle of Wright. He dedicated it to all that lost their lives at the club in Florida. Roger said they’d never heard it sung like that and blew them away
Yes! The song is from Highlander, but it was so perfect when he dedicated it.
Brian & Roger know a good thing when they hear it - Brian has called Adam "The gift from God". I was weaned on Queen - when Freddie died - like everyone - I assumed that was it. I refused to listen to any of their other collaborations as no one was Freddie. Then by accident I heard Adam singing with them in 2014 - and I was hooked. I can happily listen to both Freddie and Adam sing those songs - because they are both perfect in their own way.

Great reaction Sebs, you did a great job describing the meaning of this song! Adam in incredible, Roger and Brian from Queen said in an interview a couple years ago that Adam had the best voice on the planet and I believe it! I've followed and listened to everything he's done. So incredible how great his voice is, there's nothing he can't sing. Also yes he writes most of his music and produces it cause he wants it a certain way and is present when its produced to make sure it comes out exactly like he wants it. A not so well known song of his that I know you would absolutely love is Sleepwalker, incredible song with his incredible voice!

It is deceptively very technical. And a great message.

This is one of my favorite songs, love Adam. I do think he is one of the best vocalist of all times. I agree with the comment about Who Wants to Live Forever at Isle of Wright, that is a beautiful and emotional song dedicated to the victims of the senseless shooting at The Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Brian and Roger were clearly moved by his performance as was the audience.

Adam is phenomenal! ❤ I watched him right from his first AI audition and knew right then and there that he was special and every performance after that just endorsed my opinion. Adam has just gone onward and upward from his Idol days. His solo stuff is awesome and I could listen to him for years. but… to be the current lead singer of Queen, one of the most phenomenal bands ever, for them to allow Adam to take on Freddie is a massive, just massive honour! Queen went 20+ years after Freddie’s passing without a lead then they chose Adam and he just slid into the role with no hesitation, with complete control of every Queen song, completely deferring to Freddie’s genius with an Adam twist…no more needs to be said!!! The man is just a phenomenon. ❤
Hubby and I have shaken his hand 3 times, had pix taken with him and traveled to Hawaii, London, Italy etc plus we live in Vegas and have seen him solo and with Queen dozens of times. Nothing compares to being in the actual presence of that magical talent of his! ❤❤❤

Someone wrote Adam had a "touch" of operatic training... A touch... what Adam can do with a touch of ANYTHING is take it to the end of the universe and back. He is literally, one in a millennium. Extraordinary. Singularly exceptional. The sole occupant of a class of perfection. To all him a vocalist is shallow. He is all things musical to the nth degree.
According to something on Google, Adam's *known for his full-control three-octave (B2-B5) vocal range, expert vibrato and dynamic, piercing and robust belting and falsetto which allows him to stretch up to the fifth octave.*

This is a great album. Unfortunately Velvet came out during COVID, so he couldn't tour to promote. Please check out the rest of the album if you can. The writing is beautiful. A lot of what is missing in music today. Meaningful lyrics.
I had at the time he was a constant on AGT ,a beautiful sheltiie..this dog had an attitude. While i was l istening to the performers he laid on the bed facing away from the TV. UNTIL Adam started singing ,then he stood up and actually watched..the entire song..till Adam finished then Mr Samwize turned away and laid down for the rest of the evening. I think even he knew talent.
He did not compete on AGT. He competed on American Idol.

Absolutely have loved him since Idol. Saw him with Queen twice in October. He's ASTONISHING! Look up what Brian May & Roger Taylor say about him too. And he remained humble throughout his rise to fame. There are no accurate words to describe seeing him perform live. ❤

Do yourself a favor and check out his live performance of Cher's 'Believe' at her Kennedy Center honors. He transforms the cheesy dance song, that started the whole 'auto tune as an effect' trend, and literally brings the audience (and Cher) to tears with it. An amazing talent!

The live versions of the Velvet songs give me CHILLS. I absolutely love this song. He's so dang musical and so effortless in his runs and can switch up genres without a pause. I've been blessed to see him live twice AND with Queen twice, and it is well worth it. My husband saw Queen with Freddie in the late 70's and he was skeptical to see them again with Adam, but he was completely blown away.

I quit watching American Idol after Adam Lambert didn't win. To this day I have no idea why he didn't. But I've come to realize that he got the exposure he needed. He was able to pursue the path he wanted, from singing with Queen and signing the deal he wanted, not one that was chosen for him. His vocal gymnastics are perfection.
