Belmont Heritage Matters Part 2

Heritage is at the heart of who we are as a community and as a Nation.
THE BELMONT HERITAGE PROJECT is a group of proud Belmont citizens, committed to preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of our diverse community.
On Palm Sunday, 10th April 2022, the Belmont Heritage Project will be hosting a live and streamed “Gala Belmont Heritage Benefit” at the Lord Kitchener Auditorium, NAPA.
This landmark event will feature many of T&T’s artistes, most of whom have their roots in Belmont, the first suburb of Port of Spain, an iconic community with a rich heritage. The purpose of this Gala Benefit is twofold: to raise awareness of Belmont’s importance as a heritage site and to raise funds for the completion of the next phase of our first project: The restoration of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church located on Belmont Circular Road which is the only National Heritage building in Belmont listed by the National Trust.
