😭💔I am only seeing this now, I took a gap year this year because I didn't get accepted as my points are low for the course I want to study. My idea was that I will apply for a diploma this year then do degree, I should have just applied to rewrite.
I am so sorry to hear that. You can still take diploma route, as long as it leads to your desired qualification and finances are not a problem,else you can always apply to rewrite for next year instead.

Hey unless you can find a school where you can do assessments to accumulate the 25% Cass mark. If not then you'll have to rewrite the subjects you've done in the past, but there are definitely steps you can take to do a different subject.

In my own personal opinion I would advise bridging course if your matric results meet the minimum requirements for medicine, else I advice matric rewrite.

Regarding life science it took me a year to add it as I was attending class and writing prelims and finals but I also know someone who applied for the second chance matric program and they wrote it in May/June exams, you can do it that way if you will be able to teach yourself everything before june exams

Hey Not that I am aware of. They even state on their FAQ that they don't take bridging courses results, you'll have to meet the requirements from matric, so a matric rewrite is advisable if WITS is your desired varsity. Else you can do first year with the institution you are bridging with then apply as a transfer student.

I know for UFS it's at South Campus, depending on the faculty you are bringing for you'd select science, economics ect . Then for UP it's at Mamelodi campus. Then other institutions like CUT would consider a "college/TVET" qualification as your bridging aswell.

Yes you can, it often happens in medicine where people from different faculties decide to go for it, but they do consider your matric because some courses have specific requirements e.g they might require that you have a 60% in maths to do a certain course especially if you didn't do any maths through out your qualification.♥️

No matric rewrite applications open around September until March the following year. However you will have to choose to write in June or November.

yep even the closing date is the same, basically it's the same form and process, you just indicate if you want to write in June or November.
