    closest thing to dark mode is right there in "Inactive Backlight". You choose the level of brightness. then there is a nightlight setting too. The T9 has it also. 10% is the minimum brightness.

    How does the T10 compare to the Honeywell Vision Pro 8000?

    Great job with the detail review. Did you attempt to setup Apple Homekit and see how it works with other smart devices? Thank you for taking the time.

      @@davewelike understood. I will be putting these in my 2 zones. Seems similar similar to my setup. Like that I can do temp in bedroom and not the hallway. Lol. I probably waste a lot of energy trying to cool my halfway

      @@craiggrant693 exactly. Makes more sense to do the bedroom temperature than a place you're not in. Especially if you close the door. Blocks air from getting into the hallway. I find the bedroom to be much cooler than the hallway. Plus when I leave the ac turns up automatically. So I've already noticed a reduction in my electricity bill. Compared to last time this year I've saved $20.

    Does your thermostat show a higher temperature (+2 to +3 F) compared to the remote? I have six remotes and they have the correct room temperatures. But the thermostat seems to run warmer than the remotes. I placed remotes 12” on either side of the thermostat and use those as the temperature source. Seems to be a common issue with this thermostat!

    • @davewelike
      @davewelike  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't noticed that. My issue is my bedroom gets coldest fast so I set priority to that room so it doesn't get too cold in that room.

  • @FiASCO_9
    @FiASCO_9 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Have you had problems with the sensors not reporting the temperature change fast enough? For example when I turn the ac on and watch the thermostat temp I can see it change from one degree to another however the sensor nearby doesn’t report it till several minutes later which is so strange and makes me think prioritizing the sensor will lead to extended run times. Even tested it by putting it in the fridge which runs at 37 however it took forever to change ( half an hour an it barely read 51 after starting at 78)

    • @davewelike
      @davewelike  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess I never tested like that. I had other temperature reading sensors and they all generally were around the same numbers. Maybe the battery power is too low or too far away from the main sensor?

    Mine is changing temperature on its own. It started after I set a vacation schedule 2 weeks ago. I have it set to 75° when I wake and 71° at night. However, once it change to 73° in the morning. In another instance I came home and it was 71°, when it should be 75°. I unabled the adaptive feature, replaced the batteries in the remote sensor. If it’s still doing that, I’m thinking just give it a hard reset. How do you do a hard reset? Thanks!

      Delete your account and add the thermostat to your new account. Would that be considered a reset? If not contact support.

    I have our T10 thermostat set to go to a night time schedule at 10:00 p.m. with a temperature setting of 62 degrees. The daytime temperature is set to 68 degrees. If I move the day time temperature to 69 degrees the system should at 10:00 p.m change to the sleep schedule but it often does not and I have to manually set it back to 68 degrees and then it will change to the sleep mode. Also for wake it is set to go on at 7:00 a.m. and heat to 68 degrees but it goes on before with a message that states something like heating to recovery schedule??? What is that and how do I turn it off?

    • @CognitiveHeatsink
      @CognitiveHeatsink 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a setting in the thermostat, but you have to have an HVAC system with an integrated humidifier or dehumidifier in order for it to actually do something. Just enabling the option doesn't magically make it work.

    I just had a new HVAC system installed and they also installed this thermostat. The program setting will not work with the sensor. If we set the program then the unit runs constantly. The technicians answer was to just not use the program setting because most people don't use it anyways. I want to use it. He called Honeywell and was on the phone with them and still could not figure it out. What do you think about this?

    • @davewelike

    question for you or anyone, this is our second cooling season now on this t-stat, and for some reason, it makes the system run forever. like today here in PA, we just turned on the ac, it was i think 77 or 78 in the room the tstat is in, we have it set to come on a certain time at 75, and drop to 77 like later in the evening to sleep, it has ran for over 3 hours to cool to the 75, never got there. i actually watched it go to 75, then right back to 77, and now its at 76, and we pushed it up to 76 to get it to stop running and it didn't stop. any suggestions what is going on? why when it reached the desired temp it doesn't shut off, so frustrating for a new system, and it just runs all the time, my electric bills in almost $400 per month. thanks
