    Just found your channel and your doing an awesome job Heather. I’m here in America (Texas) and love to see how it’s done in GB.
    Few tips (not at all saying your doing anything wrong either, quite the contrary - just might help make it easier for you):
    1) Get a pump sprayer (say around 2-gallons) that has a wand (I’m not talking about the handheld iK hand-pumps although iK does make one that I’m trying to describe) and use that for your pre-rinse decon when you remove the traffic film. You kill your hand/forearm spraying it like your doing. Any hardware store will have these (I’m not familiar with the stores over there).
    2) Saw your other videos and trust me here, go out and get THE GAUNTLET drying towel from The Rag Company. Microfiber Madness sells it as well under the name CHIPMUNK I believe.
    3) One last tip: whatever you do, keep doing what your doing and don’t pay attention to the “detailing police” that like to act like there are these laws that never can be broken. Do what works best for you, as your environment and your situation is unique to you. Don’t be close minded and I can tell your not but ignore the haters and people who think there is only 1 way of doing things.

      Thanks very much for the comment! Really appreciate the tips and feedback. I’m actually getting a pump sprayer hopefully this week, when I decide what else I’m gonna get as well 😂 I’ve heard really good things about that drying towel, I’ll add it to the list of products I’m going to try!

    Love your channel. A lot of the time you are actually tackling cars that are genuinely dirty rather than some of the other channels that just scrub up a car that was cleaned about 5 days ago anyway. Nice work. :D

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! I always find these cars a lot more satisfying to clean. I’m doing an interior video on my car in a few weeks and to be honest it’s clean to start with but just want to talk through my routine as I rarely clean interiors! I’ve got plenty of very neglected cars to clean in the next few months though too! 😂

    Another great transformation video. I guess the problem for people who look after their cars is you never get the satisfaction from dealing with a really dirty car. My neighbours Mercedes A180 is doing my head in. They've gone away in their other car and, yes, I have been tempted to do a secret wash on it. The alloys would be a challenge in themselves.

    Great video Heather! Could be the reason they have some "wax" components in the TFR to help the slickness further to the contact wash, and help the contact wash stage like that? I have heard from a german car detailing guru: Many car shampoos which has "wax" in it, doesn't really give "wax like" protection, instead, the purpose of having "wax" in the shampoo is that to help the wash media glide on the surface more easily and prevent marring. I was thinking throughout your video and this makes sense to me if, I'm trying to find some similarities between shampoo with wax and TFR with wax. However, I am absolutely not even close to be an expert to this :) I have enjoyed watching this video tonight! Thank you Heather, looking further for next Sunday.

      Hi Road To Detailing, Solution 61 here.
      The reason we added wax to TFR is to enable rinsing easier & ultimately lessen the risk of TFR being left on the vehicle and causing staining of left to dry or bake on. We always try to make our products as safe and user friendly as possible.
      Hopefully this explains the name a little for you 👍

    What do you do if you get stuck on TF?
    I gave my car a good wash yesterday and there is TF on the skirts behind my front wheels, used surfex HD at 10% let it soak, then foam wash with BH auto F, then re applied surfex on the stubborn TF and gave it a good scrub, then did a full hand wash and once done and dried that FT was still there behind the wheel. There was no ceramic or wax on it.
    The only thing I can think of trying now is to clay bar it.

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow that sounds a nightmare! I’ve honestly never come across traffic film that was that hard to remove I’m afraid. I really would’ve thought surfex at 10% would’ve shifted it. Only thing I can think of is maybe upping it to 20% possible but I’ve never had to use it that high

    • @Steven-qi4gm
      @Steven-qi4gm 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AutoCareHQ thanks.
      I might just use neat sufex as a lubricant and get a clay bar on it.
      Only had the car 2 months so think it’s years worth caked on, probably never had a decon and likely been waxed over numerous times at the local car scratch... erm I mean car wash places 😊

    btw sometimes they use waxes to clean rather than protect but they mention it at the bottle as a marketing technique am not sure if that is the reason why the pre wax says that on it but am assuming that it is.

    Hi Heather, question on fall out removers (sorry not related to this video), as i get more and more into this hobby i'm considering either BH Korrosol or GT Zero Ion Oxide. However i never seem to notice any imbedded metal contamination so part of me is thinking that this might just be an unnecessary step for me. Any opinion to influence me would be appreciated. Best wishes.

      Hey thanks for the comment! It’s pretty much impossible to see any iron fallout on the car from my experience but often it’ll be on there especially if the car hasn’t had a full decon before! It can depend on where you store the car of course but it’s worth doing on most cars I see

      Auto Care HQ interesting, I can see the logic for this if your using this in a commercial environment, when you just chuck this on and pressure wash off and send the truck back out on the road, I'm not sure anyone washing a car would do the same, well I know we wouldn't 😂
