@@AnotherMattPlayingIsaac Jacob & Esau are my Favourite Character in the game, so Straw Man is just there to be pretty decent support in both dealing & tanking damage. You can pick both Items in Alt Path/'More Options' Treasure Rooms and 'There's Options' Boss Items, like you can with Jacob & Esau... Potentially doubled DPS/Items and since coins are pretty common, you can keep him alive easily. Also he can be useful as a meat shield. Sacrifice a Penny or Two for protecting your Heart HP. As T. Keeper (Who's my least favourite Character), Strawman can tank hits, while shooting 7 tears at a time. He can also be very useful, while a bit clunky here and there, with T. Lost. Strawman has massive Min-Max Potential. He can be used for 'Cheaper' Devil Beggars/Hell Game, Confessionals and Sacrifice Rooms, as long as you have coins on the ground & your are willing to use them in such a way. The only time he's a bit of hit or miss is on flying characters, since you need to manage them staying together... but as I really like Jacob & Esau and I play them pretty often, I am used to that quirk xD.
If you ever do character by unlock again. You should add a bonus point if they can name what boss gives the unlock. So like if you knew Jacob and Esau beating Boss Rush is how you get rock bottem then he gets a half soul heart or something like that. Could be fun. Edit: LMAO I SHOULD HAVE WAITED 2 SECONDS BEFORE POSTING THIS COMMENT
At round 2 of depths after the mom’s pad one, I guessed monstro’s lung, soy milk, and flat stone. Turns out I was right, I never even played Issac and only watched vids of it

My takeaway from this is that Mars is a run ender on keyboard, while I assumed it was only a liability because I play on controller; I’m starting to think Mars, uh, needs a little work

For example, Mega Satan unlocks things that aren't items or trinkets- three chest types, two new tile entities, two new pill types, three new machines... Another pattern is Delirium, who unlocks the character's gimmick (a pocket item if they have one, a themed item if they don't, such as Berserk for T. Samson or the head toss item for T. Forgotten). The one character that breaks that pattern is T. Lost, who unlocks ghost bombs via Delirium and unlocks Sacred Orb (Better items, arguably T. Lost's main gimmick) by beating the Beast. The most obvious one aside from the cards is what you get for beating Boss rush and Hush- it's all the characters' Soul Stones! For whatever reason, Mother and Light/Dark path unlocks are all trinkets for the Tainteds. Every single one.

I know basically nothing about the game, only having played a full run once on my friend's computer. I managed to get the last one perfectly and managed to guess that that one synergy was three of the same thing. Great quiz, though, I'm going to the wiki.

Strawman is extremely Good Item... I personally Love it. You can rig Sac Rooms like it's nothing.

@@AnotherMattPlayingIsaac Jacob & Esau are my Favourite Character in the game, so Straw Man is just there to be pretty decent support in both dealing & tanking damage.
You can pick both Items in Alt Path/'More Options' Treasure Rooms and 'There's Options' Boss Items, like you can with Jacob & Esau... Potentially doubled DPS/Items and since coins are pretty common, you can keep him alive easily.
Also he can be useful as a meat shield. Sacrifice a Penny or Two for protecting your Heart HP. As T. Keeper (Who's my least favourite Character), Strawman can tank hits, while shooting 7 tears at a time. He can also be very useful, while a bit clunky here and there, with T. Lost.
Strawman has massive Min-Max Potential. He can be used for 'Cheaper' Devil Beggars/Hell Game, Confessionals and Sacrifice Rooms, as long as you have coins on the ground & your are willing to use them in such a way.
The only time he's a bit of hit or miss is on flying characters, since you need to manage them staying together... but as I really like Jacob & Esau and I play them pretty often, I am used to that quirk xD.
If you ever do character by unlock again. You should add a bonus point if they can name what boss gives the unlock. So like if you knew Jacob and Esau beating Boss Rush is how you get rock bottem then he gets a half soul heart or something like that. Could be fun.

7:12 "Everything else is just... up in the air" Not quite! There are patterns. For example, Mega Satan unlocks things that aren't items or trinkets- three chest types, two new tile entities, two new pill types, three new machines...
Another pattern is Delirium, who unlocks the character's gimmick (a pocket item if they have one, a themed item if they don't, such as Berserk for T. Samson or the head toss item for T. Forgotten). The one character that breaks that pattern is T. Lost, who unlocks ghost bombs via Delirium and unlocks Sacred Orb (Better items, arguably T. Lost's main gimmick) by beating the Beast.
The most obvious one aside from the cards is what you get for beating Boss rush and Hush- it's all the characters' Soul Stones!
For whatever reason, Mother and Light/Dark path unlocks are all trinkets for the Tainteds. Every single one.
That is mega satan for the tainted characters. Mega satan for the non-tainted characters just gives you co-op babies which do essentially nothing
