Sure thing off the top of my head I used the following: 1. A full socket set (depending on the head stud nuts you may need 12 point sockets) 2. Nice set of gloves And that's pretty much it. Removal is pretty easy tool wise.
Hi great video im about to replace my head with a reconditioned one, my reconditioned head does not have studs that are next to your valve springs, are these a certain type of stud?
Thanks! Regarding the push rods, on a used motor the lifters, and rods will all wear together(like the tips and mating points). So keeping them in order is definitely recommended. It will keep everything running as closely as it did when you took it apart. If you have all new parts though it doesn't matter as much. Let me know if you have any other questions!
God you make this look sooo easy. Finally got around to removing my head and find it is quite stuck. I think that center bolt has rusted and seized to my cylinder head. Making it damn near impossible to get it off, any suggestions?
+JC mix26 Hey whenever I clean my engine parts I use simple green diluted 50/50 when the engine is in the car, brake cleaner for quick cleans, or I bring to a parts washer if the parts are out of the car completely.
Great vid, it helped heaps, could you please give a list of tools that you used during this

Hey great video! Just wondering what effect does it have if you forget to put the pushrods in the correct order?

Do you have any vids of stripping the rockers from the bar ?
Nope BUT I have a rocker assembly here that I wanna tear apart. I’ll put it on my list of videos to do!
Shouldn't you Loosen the Rocker adjustment screws- to take the Valve spring pressure off the pedestals while you loosen the Rockers and Head?
