Thank you SO much for this, I’m looking to have my first confession in over a decade but for the past week I have been consumed by anxiety over it, what the priest will think of me, how i feel, how embarrassing my sins will be, how painful social interaction is, how uncomfortable i would be, but this ad came up, and I never click on ads but something was moving me to click on it, and when I did I was reminded who this is really about. I have been getting too caught up in me that I had almost completely forgotten about Him. Please pray for me as I still have the anxiety but whenever Jesus Is on my mind and in my heart it all vanishes, thank you for giving me a minute with our Lord at a time I really needed it, and reminding me who this is really about, and whenever I find myself in fear or discouraged just turn to Him and I will always have peace ❤️🔥.
Dear Stephanie, there is no sin that God cannot forgive as long as we come to him with an open heart to confess sincerely. In the confessional, you are confessing to Christ through the Priest. It matters not what he thinks as your confession is protected as privileged information under canon law that cannot be share with anyone else. I pray for you and hope you'll find peace in your life. God loves us and is always there waiting for us to come back to Him wherever we are in our lives.
