Nice Ralph ! Good registration. I have this quite a few different ways. Light and crisp and pretty near your registration. My favorite is by Christopher Herrick. A nice beefy reed section with 32 foot foundation. A lot of fun to listen to your performance. Mark
This wonderful North German organ music is so multifaceted in its musical structure and with the wonderful way you register it on the organ, a fantastic musical work of art is created. Many greetings, Roland
Superb, a great presentation of one of my favorite pieces. All 3 big g minor preludes are special, and the instrument sample and registration here work out really well. A joy! Thanks.
What a pleasure to listen to. Out of curiosity, how do you prepare the fingering? Do you go through the score beforehand, or are you just that good that you can play without, just as the notes are presented on screen? Either way, nice playing!
Thanks for listening. I must admit I'm often too lazy to put down fingerings on score (especially on a tablet). I mostly rely on muscle memory, once you've played through the piece several times you find the best fingering and mostly the muscles do remember.
Thanks! In any case it doesn't have to be played marcato, it's only how I did it. However, I see your point. My intention was to let the theme not drown in the big acoustics while playing the manual parts above the pedal theme. But maybe I overdid it.
Splendid interpretation and choice of registration.
Thanks!

Thanks, Mark! The nice thing about North German preludes, you can go very different ways as interpreter.

Excellent performance of this demanding piece!

You're welcome
Intense music! Great performance!
Thanks!
Wonderful. Buxtehude am morgen vertreibt Kummer und Sorgen! 😀
Ganz eingestimmt!
Very nice. Just one thing : I do wonder why the chaconne theme has to be played so marcato. Why not legato ?
