I appeared on HOARDERS, but had to refuse to do American Pickers when they wanted to do a show with me. I wrote a book about the ordeal. images.app.goo.gl/SohL365WRNN7MwBM9
With the to follow spots AKA to some spotlights. I have used both those particular models just judging by what I saw there it's been awhile The simpler one we had one of those at our church it was always up in the balcony only used about once a year primarily for the Christmas Pageant. Big big old halogen bulb. And the bulb was pretty much obsolete even years ago however being on stage crew looked into this since we can tell that it was on its way out and was at least needing a spare if not replaced immediately. We did decide before that ears performance to replace the bulb first. Literally got about 50% more light from the new bulb Even though it was a halogen it was still at that point. And with the bulbing up sleep it was still made but in very low numbers for when it was needed for stage fixtures. Also interesting note the jail mechanism on that larger fall spot is referred to as a boomerang. And yes the black lover is what's referred to as blackout and yes you really do not want to turn off to turn off the lamp to the light. Also on stage crew we wound up having to charge lamp hours in the end on the photo spots we had two of these the ones we had were Xenon Arc lamps. The reason we had to charge lab hours is the price had gone up so much on these lamps nearly doubled since the few years before. We had a lot of problems with people touching the halogen bulbs and not realizing what the consequences could be regarding the bulbs failing due to contamination from the oils from one's skin. However most of our guys did not realize at first these could be cleaned with alcohol. I remember once or stage manager said when you saw a bulb that was just loose he said it's a new one but it won't last long due to those fingerprints. That was the very time I told him about being able to clean these and he didn't believe me at first. He's the one that had the most experience at least at that time at least working stage he was doing this before that even clean the halogen lamps! And if anyone has ever heard of what's called a bone pop yeah those things can explode sometimes. Sometimes Turtles the heck out of people I remember once we had at least four bulbs blow their show last one last one I I never heard almost sounds like a gunshot funny thing is it was actually right on cue for a simulated gunshot only off by about 2 seconds!
He knows all his stuff and everything has a story. Randy keep doing your thing buddy, the channel is awesome
I love Randy’s collection, and I love how Randy encourages us to horde stuff!
That Seeburg Jukebox reminds me of the jukebox in the Movie Rainman.🤔😊👍🐿
Keep the videos comin’ randy!
Classic Seeburg. I fixed up a Seeburg AY100 (1961). Your Juke is indeed a 50's unit.
The show American Pickers would have to have a 6 hour episode just to go through Randy's stuff.
