Just asked my dad what he used to think when I’d run around in the back yard on all fours to play with my sisters and his exact words were “I thought you kids looked like you were having fun….and I thought about how nice it must be to be able to do that without my body crumbling into dust” For context: I was in my 20s when I did this. My dad is very old now and has cancer but is going strong. He escapes weekly and zooms away on his specially made wheelchair. I’m also a he….its ok I get call a woman in real life too 😭.
