Like how Probst goes out of his way to tell them this is not a religious ceremony but a welcome ceremony. They go inside and it most definitely has strong religious tones. He then berates her when in front of everyone "I told you it wasn't religious". Such a nasty, disgusting, smug person using this to create a defined "character" for your little show.
He says it’s not religious yet they are in a religious temple bowing to religious idols. She did the right thing. She has a faith that means more to her than a reality TV show.
1000% proud of her! What looks like disrespect or narrow mindedness will be rewarded one day in Heaven. As a Christian, she did what was right in God's eyes. Yes, it was not popular to most, but it was right. And as far as all who are criticizing her for not being "religious" but she has a "relationship with Jesus Christ"...she's spot on again. Religion and relationship are 2 totally different things. You can be the most "religious" person in the history of the world, but without a relationship with Jesus Christ, you miss the mark.
Leviticus 26:1 King James Bible Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God
I'm a Christian and what she did was very DISrespectful! She made an assuption on another's belief and the Chinese didn't have to do the blessing ceremony. If a nonchristian walked out of her church while mass was in full swing, she would've been offended at that person. That is in essance what she did there! She's intitled to believe what she wants, but she should show respect to every other belief and not find any little fault in the differences!
It's narrow minded to expect people to bow down to statues simply because you labeled it as a 'welcome' or something. Everyone has their culture, things like bowing down is universally known in nature as an act of submission. So when they ask you to bow down to a statue of Buddha you are definitely showing submission to a fucking statue. China is fucked and they like to do shit like this all the time. Fuck commies.
@@jebril The narrow minded person is you for putting the blame on China. Buddha has nothing to do with China, rather many countries, especially Asian countries have it. There are lots of Buddhists in the US as well. Saying China is fucked because of it is like saying every American is a Christian. And fuck commies? Sorry, but Commies are the ones not respecting religion. They throw ALL religions out-Christian, Buddha. They only put the Buddha on for this show-their own citizens aren't even allowed to bow down to the Buddha. Go to India, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, many other East Asian countries-lots of their people bow and "submit" to that statue. ARE THEY COMMIES? So don't fuck the commies. Buddhism is not Communism. Buddha came from India, not China. And no, I'm not a Buddhist. And before you blame China for the submission to a statue again-blame the producers. And nobody forced you Christians to participate in Survivor.
What she did was disrespectful. It's her right, and she should follow her heart, but when it's made clear that this is a ceremonial welcome, not a worship service, she's basically refusing to experience someone else's spirituality. So does that mean she would never invite a non-Christian friend to visit a church? Come on. If you honestly believe that God doesn't care what's in your heart ... if you truly believe that you could participate in this welcome ceremony with grace and respect and humility, and that God would say "Yes, but you did put your knees on the floor, so that's a technical rule violation" ... then you believe God is basically a bookkeeper. I don't buy it.
These comments have become a war between “shame on Leslie” and “I am proud of Leslie”
I'd do the exact same thing. "Thou shall not bow down to any God before me" Leslie is a staunched Christian
It was meant to be a WELCOMING ceremony, NOT worshipping.

I know right 😂
Religion and a relationship with Jesus is completely different.
@@redplaybuttonuser Are you being sarcastic or are you actually that stupid?
@@redplaybuttonuser On paper its different. But in behaviour and actions it turns out to be the same
Plus she kept talking about God and Jesus throughout her run

I respect Leslie. I would have done the same.’ She really loves Jesus Christ.

I'm Muslim and definitely wouldn't do this, this is idolatry. That's fine that they have their culture, but I don't have to partake in it.
I guess it would be hard of you to even be on Survivor in the first place. And too bad, if you're participating then you have to partake in it.
