One day you can do the 550 that's what I have and one of these days going to be doing 45 if I can find primers unless I get small primer brass for my 45 anyway keep up the good work and god bless
Hey Brian I have a whole series on the 550 on the channel. Thanks and god bless you real good.
Fail safe rod?
Just assembled my 750. I’m having issues when you add the primers into the tube they seem to all drop right out onto the primer slide never actually going into the primer cup. I thought maybe it was the primer cup off alignment, but that is aligned correctly. The small primer tube doesn’t appear to be damaged, but every time a move the press handle up and down 2-3 primers drop out at once onto the slide never hitting the cup or sideways. Any thoughts?
Do you have the correct primer tube installed? Small primer should have a blue tip
@@SquatchReloaded update: so I double checked the primer tube and it is the blue one. So I took the entire slide off and looked at the bottom of the primer feed body to see if the small primer tube was aligned correctly with the notch, which it was ..However it sat flush with housing, so I really pushed hard on the primer tube and it popped deeper in where I believe it’s suppose to sit with about 1/4 inch of the primer tube blue plastic is exposed. Buttoned everything up and seems to work like a charm, no spilled primers. Thanks for the help.
I don't have to mess with stupid changeovers. Just use the other 550 that is dedicated to small primers or vice versa. It was worth every penny to but another press, so convenient and simple. Put away some savings and just but another press, you will hank yourself. everything about the Dillon presses is about convenience, why not have two of them? -Dave
The 550 is a workhorse and my favorite press made by Dillon.
