Yeah, doing a run-through on the complete line from one company didn't really do it for me. (Presuming this was sponsored by Bix'n Andy). I don't see how these are any different or better than a TriggerTech, so I'd love to see them compared.
"The following Ultimate Reloader partners are featured in this video: Bix'n Andy" It would be tricky/impossible to navigate a "partner" vs another vendor in any kind of objective test.
Main difference between a BnA Pro-X and TT Diamond is adjustability and overtravel. BnA's all have sear adjustability that TT's don't have, including being able to choose the top sear height. Whether you actually want that adjustability is another thing though. As far as their two-stages, BnA you can adjust the first stage travel whereas on a TT Diamond two-stage you can't. And then it's just preferences on overtravel vs no overtravel. If you want none, TT is your pick. If you subscribe to the idea that overtravel is good, BnA is the choice.
I shoot F-class and PRS. I own Flavio, Trig Tech Diamonds and Bix'n Andy Comp triggers. If you enjoy tinkering with your trigger, ordering sears that are always out of stock, The Bix'n Andy is for you. If you want a trigger that works out of the box, maybe not. That's been my experience with the three brands.
Thank you, thank you. I know it takes a lot of planning and time to make a great video's and content like you do. Have Bix'n & Andy triggers on ALL of my PRS rifles. Why? It's simply the fricken best. I don't know how many 2 Day and 1 day matches I've been over the years where someone had 'problem' with OTHER Manufacturer's Trigger's... NEVER with Bix'n & Andy Trigger that I'm aware of. Maybe someone did but I have not seen it and/or heard about it. I cannot begin to tell you that Tac Sport Pro X is literally the last thing that I worry about it during the match. That SOB is so consistent...that I don't even think about it. It is that consistent. Once visiting my Gunsmith after 2,000 rounds on my Dasher he was replacing the barrel. He looks at firing pin of my action dirty AF...I never cleaned it until replacing barrel...my Bix's & Andy trigger looked like it just came out of the box...new. Confirmed the pull weight between 8-9 oz just like last time I visited him...exactly the same. I will literally not own any other trigger. All of my rifles have Bix's & Andy triggers. I have older Box's & Andy trigger on one of my Match rifles, and probably over 40,000 rounds on it NEVER a single issue. Now that trigger is my back up in PRS backpack. How's that for endorsement :) ?
I love my Bix'n Andy TacSport Pro-X 2 stage trigger. Worked right out of the box, fine tuned it to my liking with the adjustment screws. I've shot Timneys, Geisseles, Jewells and Triggertechs before but the Bix'n Andy is my favorite
I use a 2 stage Competition trigger on my Vudoo. The ability to adjust the sear is worth the price of admission. A properly adjusted sear will give consistent SDs. I shoot groups. 2 stages lets me relax with a light pull weight. Of course it’s a personal choice.
100% recommend Bix'n Andy triggers, i replaced the factory sako trigger with the Bix'n Andy "sako 85 Precision trigger" on my 243W varmint. its 3-28 ounces trigger break is undetectable. probably the best trigger iv ever had.
Opening any trigger won't "void your warranty", regardless of what the Manufacturer claims (federal law expressly bars manufacturers from voiding a warranty merely for something like opening your trigger).
Haven’t even watched it all and already stoked to learn more about something. Gavin are yall still doing those step up threaded 308 barrels for stock barrels. Would love to have mine able to go suppressed.
I just got the competition trigger for the t3x and its amazing. Kinda getting used to coming back to a single stage since I've been running a two stage for 4 years. Would love a tacsport trigger for Tikkas mostly because the tacsport seems better sealed for PRS. I had my factory t3x trigger gum up from Cameo moon dust at the World Championships.
I recently installed the Tacsport ProX single stage into my Modacam smithed B14R. (.22lr) w/a 26 Krieger 1.250 bbl, and it is superb. Words fail me on how crisp the release is. I get no sense of undesirable creep; every press feels the same, and the break is the proverbial snap of glass. I bought one for my ARC CDG .308 as well. Also, waiting on a Borden BRM, and that unit has the B&A Single Stage comp. I have not shot that trigger yet, but I expect it to perform superbly. Gavin, I think it would be very educational if you did a critically analytical evaluation/torture test comparing these B&A specimens with TT, and Timney.
Gavin, question on curved & straight triggers pull levers. Does the flat trigger sit further forwards than a curve version, reducing finger access of the finger guard? I am changing the trigger on my Tikka T3x varmint, I like the flat style but afraid it would restrict me getting on the trigger pull, especially with a glove on.
Gavin if this video came out one month ago i would have bought a Bix ‘n Andy Tac Sport Pro X instead of a Trigger Tech. Ah well I’ll have to build another rifle now so I can get a Bix ‘n Andy trigger 😀. What’s a rifleman to do 🤷♂️?
on the ARC CDG action, they recommend not using the Triggertech Diamond trigger with the pivoting bolt handle due to safety. Is that a factor with this trigger?
Only trigger ill run in a bolt gun. Geisselle ssa-e is only one for gas guns. But Live near Chris of bullet central, and his character is what won me over. FANTASTIC gentleman. Have the tac sport pro in my 6gt and it has never failed me from negative 33 to to 100+ degrees
There`s a reason why these are called "Breaks When Sandy". I had one in a Remington and one in a Tikka, both were not drop safe when adjusted to their lower pull weight and had what felt like a mile of overtravel. (which can be seen in the triggerscans in the video)
I have one in my 7PRC(tacsport Pro X). Love it. If you adjust it to like 4 ounces it is def not drop safe, at 1 pound it seems drop safe from the testing I ran on mine.
“Miles of overtravel” is a GOOD thing. This overtravel prevents your hamfisted trigger slap from upsetting the rifle and moving your point of aim during follow through. While this is less of a factor with high speed centerfire rounds, slow projectiles with long dwell times can make this very beneficial. All Olympic air rifles have miles of overtravel.
@@Chopping_Broccoli You`re not going to offset an 14lbs rifle which already has 18ft/lbs of recoil energy (.308) by pulling an 8oz trigger into overtravel
@@JohnnyTurbo87did you even read what I wrote? Do you realize these triggers are used on more than just your example 308? You most certainly can upset a 25lb 22lr with a hamfisted trigger slap. I gave you a real reason why overtravel is beneficial. You cannot give a real reason how the rock hard wall of a TT or similar is beneficial because it’s not. Under any circumstance. You might prefer how it feels but facts over feelings. 😝
@Chopping_Broccoli Well your facts are also feelings.....cause some people shoot triggertechs just fine.... At the same time i dont disagree with your statement either.....a ham fisted slap on a hard wall CAN upset a rifle..... But to say triggertech is flat out not as good for it is a fallacy....
Theres a LOT more to a good trigger than what the pull weight can be set to. That's about the least useful piece of information regarding what a trigger feels like. You didn't even talk about trigger travel. It was really hard to tell in the video, but the over travel on all of them looked horrendous. All in all, they look like some good triggers, but I think you would have been a lot better off talking more about the triggers travel instead of its weight. Would have also been useful to compare them against the TT Diamond and Anschutz trigger plots.
I'd like to see a shootout between the Bix'n Andy and the Tiggertech Diamond. Maybe even comparing all to the Timney?

Thanks for the overview. The details and comparison is great and will help me choose.
These are fantastic triggers, def in line with the Triggertech imo. Both put out some great triggers.

Even if it's illegal, companies do it to scare you away from repairs. And that works. This company doesn't. And I think that's great 👍
Perfect timing thinking of making the switch from triggertech to bix
I’ve been running their single stage comp trigger on my F Class T3x for 3 years and have a Dakota on my varmint rig. They are great.
How would you compare dakota vs factory trigger?
@@elendal with the spring, the stock trigger is pretty good, but I think the Dakota is definitely better.
I‘ve had one in my Tikka T3x for four or five years and love it 🥰
do you have dakota trigger? Is it worth to change factory trigger? Any experience with yodave springs?
Outstanding review! Thank you for doing this.
I had one of these in fierce , had several misfires, did not set like they and never could get answer. Give me my triggertech
Brilliant!
I would love to see an install video when the Savage trigger finally becomes available.
🤷♂️ More 280AI Reloading and Performance Content Please? 🙏

it is not you would be good to go.
Per ARC: "We suggest using a fixed bolt handle with a Trigger Tech Diamond, Bix'N Andy Tac Sport, or other ultra-lightweight triggers"
