Yeah. It’s tough waiting for the wise phone II. I’ve got the first one and it’s great. I’m sure the second will be worth it. They sent an email out recently sharing that they were still working on the phone, and it has a tentative summer 2024 release date, but I honestly don’t know if that’s going to happen.
I agree with the idea behind, but if we want to detach ourselves from wasting time then why compromise and not choose a simple iPhone from which we've uninstalled most apps and keep only the basic stuff. Or get ourselves a de-googled Android phone, custom roms really have got quite accessible, so as to still get something somewhat modern that, if need be, can also fill the role of a computer. I'm really curious to see what your opinion on this would be, cheers.
That’s a perfectly acceptable option! I 100% agree. I use an iPhone with the App Store removed and my wife has the code. This keeps me from downloading apps I don’t need!
Hey Trevor, I loved your video! If you ever decide to sell the wise phone please let me know I really want to buy a phone like this that is free from internet access and social media. Im trying to become a Christian and having a smartphone has really prevented me from doing so. I recently got rid of my iPhone because I really want things to change. I just really hope I can find a phone like this that will work and I'll be able to use one practically. I can't seem to find the wise phone 1 anywhere. If you ever see any used ones for sale or if you ever decide to sell the one you have please let me know it would really help. Thank you, God bless you!
Hey brother! The Wise Phone 2 is on sale right now and I would recommend that to you. They have discontinued the Wise Phone 1 due to hardware limitations. The WP2 is a much better avenue for you. You can buy one easily with my link in the description.
@@TrevorHuntMusic for sure. just look up graphene os/lineageOS to start from scratch or just limit your current android by using a custom launcher + settings. iPhone got a lot easier to with ios 17 upwards
This comment kind of ignores some of the basic points of phones like these. Those with phone addictions pick up a smart phone and they struggle with wanting to keep features. Uninstalling and reinstalling apps. Social Media, Pornography, all sorts of things that keep them locked in. Getting a phone setup to avoid all of that is something people are looking for in a minimalist environment.

Wise Phone 2 is coming to my house now! I will review it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Keep your eyes peeled.
Wanted this phone. No idea when it's supposed to come out. Techless needs to update more often.

Hahah yhis is Def not how the attention economy works. But
This phone has been in "preorder" for months! Looks great, but whats the hold up???
I received an email today saying they will ship in two weeks. I have no idea what the holdup is.
What’s the watch you’re wearing btw ? It looks awesome 😎
Got it on amazon for 20 bucks. Lol I think I typed in adventure watch. It's not a smart watch, but I love the way it looks!
Thanks for the video, my interest comes from thinking about getting something to talk to my kids if they move away without having to talk to the ex
This phone would be perfect for that.
Best of luck in this process too. That sounds like a tough situation.
Wow, shake the phone to turn on the flashlight. Amazing.
I thought so too!

Does it have Spotify?
I believe Wise Phone 2 will, but I'm not sure 100%.
Where i can buy a wise phone?
Check the link in my description!
I don’t like their subscription model or only staying on their carrier
I believe they allow you to use any other service as well. It's an unlocked phone.
@@TrevorHuntMusic just confirmed that wisephone 2 does not allow it
Dang. That's a huge downfall. Thanks for letting me know.
Update - per the Wisephone website, they now show you to use your own carrier
Waste of money. You could ymjust buy the used motorola phone and do these "Customizations" your self. Thats no dumbphone but a phone for dumb ones.
Appreciate the insight. Is it easy to do this to a phone yourself? Some people may not have the technical abilities to pull that off.
