Clean Room Volume 1 was VERY good, Jon Davis Hunt is killing it on art, wonder why he'd never quite had a breakout... And Winneyard Embargo is one of my fav horror books, felt a lot like a flick from the 70s. Short & dark, how they're supposed to be!
Omar i hope you can interview Jim Starlin and Sal Buscema at some point. They were very active in Marvel's Silver and Bronze heydays, it would be so cool to hear stories from those guys
I read Dune a year ago and that took some work from me. It was good, but Herbert throws you into that world. I can’t believe you got through it in middle school. I’m truly impressed.

Mure - you mentioned his most recent title - Methods of Dyeing - in your rundown of the new releases for the month and this is the first in the series. Beautiful artwork, like he's used inks and watercolours. Mawrth Valliis by EPHK - very good, very unique storytelling. Arkham Asylum Deluxe Edition and I'm waiting on my copy of Hawkeye by Fraction. Also getting Small World soon as I put money down on the Kickstarter. Getting that plus 3 other Morvan titles. Can't wait!
If you like the last God I recommand you to take a look at the french edition, Urban Comics (which edit DC in France) release them in "franco-belge" format, way bigger than deluxe and thin (3 issues by volume). It really serves the art of the book !

"Dreadstar" is creator-owned. Starlin recently did a new "Dreadstar"-GN. It's more than 26 issues, too. Starlin took the book to First Comics with the 27. 26 ends on a cliffhanger. Starlin wrote until issue 40. Then Peter David took over for the remainder of the book. Never read the David-issues. In the 90s Malibu published a 6 Issue Mini Series written by David again. Before "Dreadstar" Starlin did the "Metamorphosis Odyssey" in "Epic Illustrated". This was collected by Dynamite about 10 years ago as "Dreadstar: The Beginning" or something. Recently all of Starlin's issues were collected in 3 Omnibusses financed via Kickstarter. I believe by Ominous Press.
I don't know if I'm allowed to send you to his nemesis channel, but Omnidog did an excellent review and also interviewed Philipp Kennedy Johnson, where they talked alot about the lore and music and other stuff related to the book :)

Dreadstar by Starlin is actually available in its entirety (including the Epic Illustrated magazine stuff) in a 3-book hardcover set. They refer to them as “omnibus” volumes but they are more like 500 page hardbacks.
I bought the Hellboy Weird Tales comic issues when they first came out but still picked up the hardcover. Great stories and art but I do remember reading somewhere that Mike or editor Scott Allie had said that these Weird Tale stories were not cannon to the Hellboy universe. Just fun reads that let the creative teams have fun with their stories.
Yeah, the only canon stories in the collection are “How Koshchei Became Deathless,” and “Baba Yaga’s Feast.” Still a great hardcover collection for Hellboy collectors.
