    Hi, just wanted to say thanks for all the videos you’re doing. As a blind person I have found them really invaluable and helpful. Achieving far more on my keyboard than I would’ve done without them. You explain them in amazingly detailed and helpful way. If only Yamaha could find some way of having even a computer access to the screen it would make life so much easier unable to enjoy the instrument even more. Thanks again keep them coming.

      Brian, I assume you're using Voiceover on your Mac to read the screen. When I was an undergraduate on college I had a good friend who was blind. I remember talking to her in class one day and she was telling me about going to the county fair over the weekend. I asked her how she liked, and she said...."Oh it was ok....but there wasn't too much to see". When she realized what she had said, we both laughed our heads off.

    Hi Morrie
    I am wondering if it would be possible to connect bass pedals to the E463 keyboard. I have an old not working YAMAHA organ equipped with bass pedals that I could use.

    Hello Morrie, I recently discovered your Utube channel with the explanation about the Yamaha psr 463, a world opened up for me. I've had the keyboard for 8 months now but have learned more about the features in the last 2 weeks than in the months before. In fact, the manual that comes with it is minimal. I am a newcomer a long time ago I played an electronic organ for a number of years, but that has passed due to busy work. Now that i'm retired i started making music again it took some getting used to in the beginning but I am very enthusiastic about it and have a lot of fun with it. I play partly by ear but also by music writing. I have subscribed to your channel and hope to learn a lot from you. Greetings Ruud Garrelfs from the Netherlands

    You are awesome. And thank you for the list of your videos; I'm always searching for a Morrie video on a specific topic. This makes it much quicker.
    I do have a question about something I read in the manual a while back. It stated DO NOT plug your keyboard into a power strip nor extension chord. Do you know why? Have you tried it? Because of the keyboard's short chord, I can only place it on one specific area of my room. Would love to use a power strip with it to include my lamp, my fan, etc. Is this possible? (I do always unplug it when a storm is coming, and also every night.)

      Domna, I searched the owners manual and I could not find any reference to not plugging the keyboard into a power strip. I live in Florida, the #1 state in the union for lightning strikes every year.. All of my appliances re plugged into power strips with surge protectors: my 4 TVs, may printer, my computer monitors, my three Macintosh computers, and 2 two Yamaha keyboards. Lightning hit our community center last week, which is just 120 feet from my home. It knocked out all the electrical system and damaged the air conditioners, but my home was unaffected, thanks to my surge protectors.

      Oh! That's good to know, and I'm happy your electronics weren't affected! Good news for me too, and thank you for your prompt response. I'm in the Midwest; we get quite a few tornado warnings and storms throughout the year also. Have a nice holiday weekend!

    Morrie, you may have saved me some money. I have always known the 463 has more functions and capabilities than I'll ever need or use---but how to dig them out? I have been wanting to upgrade to a used Tyros 3 because of the increased functions that it has (that I'll prob be never use) ,. But with your videos to reference I may just be happy with the 463. Thanks again.

    Hi Morrie enjoy all your videos about to buy the PSR-E463 then notice there is a PSR-E473 will all your videos equally apply to this model?

    • @morriereece5007
      @morriereece5007  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doug,
      I've never touched nor even seen a PSR E473.....BUT..... I did read the owner's manual on line and the E473 has several capabilities that are not available on the E463. The buttons are all laid out entirely differently, and you can plug a mic into the E473....so all in all....some of my videos MAY still apply, but I suspect most will not. You need a "Morrie with a E473" to make some new videos. 😎 The E473 does more....and it costs more.

      @@morriereece5007 Thank you Morrie then I will c certainly look at the 463 rather than 473 want to follow you completely.
