Stu, you're the best. I got a genuine laugh out loud when you admonished watchers to "have a damned good reason....". As for this old rider, those gloves make a hell of a lot of sense. Thank you!
HeyStu, watched a previous video and yesterday washed my RE Classic 350 after a grubby ride finishing with Miracle Shine. Brilliant. Must give these a go
Great choice in opening music! Back in the 70's :-) I carried over the 'two bucket' wash method for my bikes from the car. Second bucket with clean water to rinse the mit with before loading with shampoo. Buckets with grit guards also work well in keeping the grit in the bottom of the bucket.
I used to own a classic 350 back.. Its so good for minor modifications which really look good. I had installed a harley davidson fatboy led headlamp unit which is an direct fit in one of these and also a harley sportster rear turn signals integrated with taillamp.
Hi Stuart, on your recommendation i've bought both the cleaner, polish and gloves. Also bought a pet dryer/motorbike hot air blower as seen in your video.I'm not sure which one you were useing as i couldn't see it on the video, well only the hose.Thank you so much all worked very well when used to clean my Suzuki Burgman 400. I have managed to track down a Royal Enfield Classic Chrome 500 (black) ordered from my local dealer (Hartgate, mitcham).Should be arriving early November,so looking forward to that and watching many more of your videos.
I really like that attitude of buying from Western companies ONLY at all humanly possible opportunities. THANK YOU FOR ADOPTING THAT PHILOSOPHY! Cheers!
In the 1st minute you convinced me that I don't deserve to own a motorcycle. You treat them like your babies. I've barely cleaned my own car in 8 years of ownership. Happy riding Sir 🍻 🍻 🍻
Nice review of the products, cool narration, classy bike but, above all, man, you got me with the very british way you say "shampew", so now I have to get one! Greetings from Mexico!
I love the AutoBrite snow foam for my car, I think they need to check their spelling of 'thoroughly' on their warning label though :) I've just bought some similar gloves on eBay (UK seller) I couldn't see if they were high cuffed or not but I don't wear watches or jewellery so no problems there.
Interesting twist on the washing mit. Amazing no one thought of it sooner. Agree about personal selection of non Chinese products. Thanks for another great video Stu.
You should try the two bucket wash method. one bucket with clean water and soap, one with just water for rinsing the mit/glove after every contact with the bodywork. It means you are always using clean water to wash and will reduce swirlmarks from the dirty water.
I have a few issues with the 2 bucket method and abandoned it over 20 yrs ago. The part I showed today is the third and final part of my cleaning regime.
Love watching your video's! Too bad we can't order the same stuff here (Netherlands) from amazon. UK doesn't send a lot of stuff this way and the German and Dutch amazon don't have those wash mits...so i ordered the turtle wax gorilla wheel glove. Hopefully will shave the wash time down a bit and get those spoked wheels easier clean. TX
👍Nice. I don't know what's come over me, but I actually might buy a pair of these and given my bike cleaning record I won't have to worry about their longevity🤣. My bikes thank you for drawing this product to my attention, Stuart.
I'm a sucker for anything that makes cleaning easier/better - just ordered the shampoo but the mitt is out of stock, doh! Will have to keep looking. Thanks for a great review👍
I had a pair of these gloves 🧤 in 1875, 🤪 but never dreamt of telling you about them as I know you are Famous for the FullFillimingham method of detailing 👍🏻 The “Shampoo” products looks to be excellent. Do they sell direct?
Good products,i might just buy them, but the only negative is the bottle,it looks like an energy drink, another good video Stu,roll on friday for the next video👍😀
Great tip Stuart. Good to see you've invested in a drier. In a previous video you mentioned some warranty issues with the bullet? Please expand. BTW.....groovy music man!
Love the bike shame they have stopped making them now if they made an Interceptor like that then OMG, could you use a ceramic coating on that bike? to protect the chrome
that's a great video, thanks for sharing. I'm in the market for a Classic 500 because of your videos (no pressure intended😉), and I already have a Moto Guzzi California touring. two questions if you don't mind: what is the green spray you are using? And also, after each clean, do you use any sort of lubricant on any part of the bike (lime the clutch cable or the kick stand) the could become stiff? Thanks again.
If i am in hurry, i make the finish with hot water & dishwashing liquid ( without foam ) softly all over the laquer and chrome ! - >> let it dry - ( quickly ) without air pressure
Hello Stuart, sorry to pester. I just rewatched this video,,,,, again,,, as I need some new shampoo. Before ordering this shampoo, Can I just ask, I worry that any modern shampoo additives could coat the disks and effect breaking, hence never using 'wash and wax' shampoo on the bike. Cars have the disc hidden under the wheel arch but motorcycle discs are on full display. Am I worrying unnecessarily? Cheers Keith
Hi Stewart, another good vid. Those gloves look great I'm going to get some. Although no longer doing it for a living, I am Valeter trained. Do you use a bucket strainer in your bucket? They are a colander like plastic shelf that sits in the bucket and all the grit and nasties fall beneath it to the bottom of the bucket and it prevents you sand papering your bike or car each time you dunk in the bucket, they are very good. Also consider the 2 bucket method. One full of sure for cleaning and the other for rinsing out your mitt. Finally, THE best drying product i have come across (for use prior to bike drier) is the AutoGlym Insta Dry. Honestly it is superb. It's like a cross between a chamois and a micro fibre cloth and is ultra absorbent. ATB, Russ.
Hi Russ, as ive said in the past I do have some issues with the 2 bucket method. I prefer to use a double wash none contact method and only use a shampoo as a final stage, By which time the paintwork is 99% free of grit.
I find the 2 bucket method just dilutes the wash solution and wastes water, I did it for about 2 years and I can't say I saw noticable any difference. Fyi I have a BMW E39 540i in silver and a Nissan qashqai in black.
The quality of water will affect the streaks..de-ionised water is better. Or install a filter system on a tap purely for your car and bike. You can test your TDS or ppm with a simple test device..the less tds in your water the less streaks. Lower tds (total dissolved solids) the better the detergent will suspend the dirt.
Hi Stuart! do you combine Bane Blade and Silkolene Washoff when washing your motorcycle? if yes, which one do you use first? i'm not sure from what i see on your video, many thanks!
Hi Stuart, just subscribed your videos. Congratulations for your great work. An offtopic question... what do you think of fork gaiters (in this case for the RE interceptor). Is it worth or is it just a cosmetic add on regarding the better material forks have these days? Thank you so much
Your bike really looks beautiful and the product must have benefits for sure; however the name of it is not my "piece of cake". Greetings from Willem with his XS750SE from the Netherlands.
Great video got one of these gloves but mine is called a monkey mitt Of Ebay but to be honest only used it once on my car but after watching your video will give it a go on my bike stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻
Could I point you towards the _ Forensic Detailing Channel_ I think you will appreciate some of the research on different products and techniques ! As I do yours.
70's sitcom music! Nice touch 👌 Think QVC need to employ you Stuart, just watched you washing your bike (again), as the saying goes you could sell snow to the endogenous people. So woke 🙏
WARNING ...watching this channel empties your bank account faster than a bitter wife at the divorce court ! Picked up the bike you dangled like a carrot in front of me yesterday and now I find I need a wash glove to keep her clean ! 😁 Bloody good idea though 👍
I've never seen the fingered gloves before. Unfortunately like all the others that have looked they seem to be out of stock. I dont normally winge or make derogatory comments on any ones video however... The amount of adverts I'm getting on your video's lately is really starting to put me off from watching them. That would be a shame as I've followed your channel for a long time now but 4 sets of ads in a 13 minute video is getting to be a bit much. I appreciate it must be difficult to balance revenue against watch-ability but with too many ads it really does spoil the viewing. Sorry Stu..
I authorise 3 adverts per video Jim, sorry its spoiling your enjoyment but its the only way im able to make any revenue. if it wasn't for the adverts I would have had to give this channel up years ago! The alternative if you dont like the adverts is to sign up for you tube premium which is ad free but it costs £12.00 per month.

Fair play for buying western. We all need to do a little bit more of this.

Great tips again, thanks. Quality matters when it's important!

I always watch the Add to the end. Thank you for your advices
James Bond comes to mind. What did Mrs Fillingham think about the gloves?

Those gloves are a must now!!!
Great video again Stuart those gloves I will be definitely looking into 👍🏻
I've never used wash gloves but the Turkish chaps down my local car wash have since 1972 lol..think I'll stick to the non contact method 😉
Who needs tassels on a bike when you could ride about wearing these, also handy for wiping visor.

Hi, I don't find the "Hell Shine Bane Blade" on their website. Is it still being sold?

A great video, Stuart, and once again you’ve got me opening my wallet! Love the new Enfield, too.
