We had time, effort, emotions and money invested in this last try for a baby. Egg retrieval was on March 10, 2020. The transfer took place March 15. We weren’t paying much attention to the news with all we had going on. We went to Costco after the embryo transfer, and were shocked to see empty shelves. We got caught up REAL quick. Happy to report I gave birth to twins that November. It was such a scary and odd time for us. We worked from home and took walks, and shopped online for all the baby things we needed. So many people were suffering, and while extremely worried I would get the virus, our little home was full of joy awaiting the arrival of our miracle babies.

Imagine, we started the current decade (2020s) with this unforgettable disaster. COVID-19 pandemic really shaped the lives we have today, so much has changed and from those changes we are actually still healing from the trauma we had to face.
Not really. The vast majority of humans (aside from the ones that are still being forced by law) have completely moved on like the lockdowns and virus never happened. Most believe that 2020 was way overblown to begin with. Unfortunately one really bad lingering side effect were kids that were denied socialization for so long have stunted growth. Very pretty graphics. But according to this, there are huge areas without any Covid cases at all. Canada is the easiest to spot. To me, that casts doubt on the validity of the whole thing.
There are no people living in those places. Most people in Canada live in the south east of the country as the rest of the country is to cold to live or just inaccessible. Same goes for Australia and some places in Africa, there are no colored spots in the desert erea because almost nobody lives there. There isn't anyone there to get infected, or there hasn't been someone with covid who went there and spread the virus.
This rendering is different from what we re used to. It shows the surface density (number of cases per pixel) of COVID on the globe. So, sparsely populated and uninhabited regions appear dark, even if their host country has a high infection rate. There are many videos out there that show the cases per country, so I thought it would be interesting to produce one that shows where the infected people actually live, irrespective of political boundaries.
