I've been watching your videos in a marathon since I found your channel. This is one I had longed for: knowing who you are as a person, and I'm glad you shared your story with us.
I'm glad to hear that you liked the video - thank you for leaving that feedback. I was wary about "diluting" the content with too much personal insights but I've come to the conclusion that it is equally important who shares something, not just what is shared 🙂
Thanks for sharing. While I agree with your perspective, sadily, most people don't have the option to step away from work. But that doesn't mean they can't still share this passion on the side. After finishing the first draft of my second book. I'll revisit my first book. It's urban fantasy, but I think I'll be implementing the things you talked about to give it more vibrancy. PS I caved and joined the news letter. You finally convinced me.😁
Thank you so much for the video, I'm 33 years old and my own voice starts contradicting what my heart and pasion wants. I've always wanted to create a beautiful story, first inspired video games, then by table top games (love being the game master) and now i just got the pasion on reading fantasy. I've tried so many times with diferent stories, poems, little novelas, but my own doubts stops me from continuing to achieve a goal. This kinds words that you send to the universe have reached to me and I fell the fire in my hear igiting again. Thanks for your wisdom and encouraging words 😇
That was very inspiring. Seeing someone I look up to as someone quite like me is igniting. I am a computer sience student who is writing a fantasy novel. Seeing you as a tech CEO who has started to do what feels right is really makes me feel like I'm seeing my future self. In these days I needed some motivation and watching this video gave me more than I imagined. Thanks for sharing your background.
I can attest that destiny has a tendency to intervene, even here in the supposedly mundane world. Good for you that you found your way to bless others. And I, for one, appreciate your work.
That's very good, man! You should be proud of what you have done with your life! I've discovered your channel not long ago, and it's always interesting, always insightfull, realy good videos. Keep the good work. It's very clear that you are passionate.
My work is my hobby and surveying is my heart. Nature is my desire and the precision my faith in my ability. I live my dream and will live it with pation. Greetings the Swiss surveyor.
Sir I thought you were just writer I don't know but . Sir you are businessman also I am really inspired by you I am writing web novel .😅😅😅😅 Thank you sir❤❤❤❤❤
You didn't have to open up, but I can hear that it is a story that you have inside looking to share in order to help others-- only this time, the change isn't on paper so much as it in our lives. So thankful you have the savings and the family. Life is really about balance as you talk about your future... so don't forget that is okay to make money because it really does run our families. Thanks so much for the passionate story. Best wishes on your journey :-)
I'm an independent author who has only written two books. The first is a short story book I made back in high school. While the second is the start of a trilogy of chapter books. After improving my writing skills during the pandemic, I will probably only publish one book each year or so. Even though my stories may not find their audience until am long gone. Maybe in the far flung future a scavenger might find a copy of one of my book in the ruins of a desert city.
Funny, my life has seen similar twists. I made and shipped over 20 video games as a CG artist. But I lost the love for it after a while and wanted to try my own persuits, making games alone was too much for me, but I instead pivoted into making 3D printed buildings for table top board games, and have now recently started writing. I too had a childhood where my mind was constantly in other worlds of fantasy. It hasn't been easy and I've learned a lot with my own business but every day is a creative dream and I'm happy to see somebody else living their own dream. Congratulations and I like the channel a lot.
I learnt games design thinking I wanted to spend the rest of my life making video games. After barely surviving education and then having to deal with the covid outbreak really messed up my plans. Every day since I started learning games design I was working on my novel idea in the background. 6 years later and I'm still working on the same book. Just because I failed my english exams it doesn't mean I can't still be creative and write my own stories. I still love gaming but writing is just as important to me now as the next roblox doors update.
I was a writer before I was a physics graduate or a data analyst. When I come home from the office after a day of spreadsheets and sql queries, I am a writer. I will be a writer after I quit being someone's data monkey.

Paused 30 sec in. THAT'S why I like your videos. I couldn't put my finger on it, but you are doing this purely because you are passionate about it.

Greetings the Swiss surveyor.
Thank you for sharing! I will be following your example, but unfortunately I will not be starting from a successful position.
Great to hear and learn more about you, I've been a fan of your videos for some time. Looking forward to the next newsletter!

I was not expecting the lore drop! Nice work

Somehow I missed this one, but I'm very glad to have found it now.
Glad to hear that sharing this was something you liked. I was hesitant at first but eventually felt that it was a good time to make this one now 🙂
@TheTaleTinkerer it hits very close to what's going on in my life. Food for thought. 🤗
I was a writer before I was a physics graduate or a data analyst.
When I come home from the office after a day of spreadsheets and sql queries, I am a writer.
I will be a writer after I quit being someone's data monkey.
Thanks man.
My life story is similar to yours in many ways. In terms of health, I decided to go on a carnivore diet, which was the best decision of my life.
Dragonlance was the first fantasy world I fell in love with as well
