The fact that he has this enormous mass actually helps the team it may be a liability in defense somewhat he sets physical screens and he’s taking the burden off Anthony Davis. Not only that bro in the games that I’m sure you’ve watched he’s a problem for opposing teams he is 7’2, 280 pounds he’s literally like shaq if he could dribble and had a jumper. I love what Joel said about how to win a championship. I’m a die hard Sixers fan and sports fan. I was telling my friends the other day that the Sixers have never had a team with the same players for more than 2 years and that’s why we don’t go far. We have no chemistry, you can’t change your whole team every single year man it won’t work.
    Think about the nuggets, they won in 2023 and they had that team for like 4 years. Think about the Celtics this year, they had that team for 4+ years. This is the first year where we kept 3 players for a whole year and now another. Thats Maxey, Embiid and Oubre.
    It also helps keeping Lowry and getting Paul George before the season starts. I feel really good about this year because I feel like our chemistry will be better anddddd the fact he said he will average 10 assists is good to hear. Means he will finally pass more which will be way better than him trying to score 40 every night.

    Joel, sure you could average 50 points a game. And yet, come the end of the season, the likelihood is you wouldn’t have played more than 50 or at the very most 60 of the 82 games. Then in the playoffs, you’d be worn out from all you did during the season (as is customary already for you these days) and yet again you’d fail to get the Sixers to advance from the second round of the playoffs and yet again miss out on reaching your first-ever Eastern Conference Finals. That’s guaranteed. It’s been the pattern for years now. Poor Sixers fans, pining all their hopes on you. There’s more hope that Tyrese Maxey can be the franchise player to take the team to that next level. You should step back from all the scoring you want to do, maybe cut back on the excessive amount of flopping and acting you do, lose some weight and become an average-to-good defensive player.

      @@iwengrinewgrin I just find an awful lot is made about a guy who was the first overall draft pick a decade ago and who is yet to be anywhere close to contending for a championship. I’ve heard/read how passionate fans of Philadelphia teams are and certainly him winning scoring titles, being named the MVP, making All-Star, and All-NBA teams… it’s all well and good for him and his trophy case but meanwhile the Sixers must be thirsty for their first NBA title since 1983. So if you tell me that him averaging 50 points a game is the strategy that will deliver them that title, then I’ll eat my words.

    • @iwengrinewgrin
      @iwengrinewgrin 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Si-ni1wk Most of what you said is objectively incorrect, so there's no reason to even read your second comment. He was a third overall pick, not first. He's played 60+ games 2 of the last 3 seasons. He led the league in PPG + playoff PPG last season. He was top 3 in defensive EPM this past season. He has a higher career +/- in the postseason than Giannis or Jokic. Facts don't care about your uneducated, casual feelings 🥱

    • @Si-ni1wk
      @Si-ni1wk 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@iwengrinewgrin The only thing I got factually wrong is that he was indeed the 3rd pick and not the first pick in the 2014 draft. The rest of what you list/state is to suit your own narrative to where you want to make it seem as though Embiid is a player who suits up more often than not and that he's delivered in the playoffs. When you say he's played 60+ games two of the past three seasons, you're framing it to suit your spin. If you were honest with yourself and the facts, you'd say that he's played 60 or more games only those two seasons out of a 10-year career. Granted he sat out the entirety of his first two seasons and more than half of his third due to injury... but even there, what does that tell you about his physical frailty and lack of reliability already at age 20-22? As far as leading the league in scoring in the regular season and playoffs... that's all great for his personal accomplishments but if he's banged up and unable to play in important games deep in the post-season, what does it really do for the Sixers and their title hopes? "He was top 3 in defensive EPM this past season" - ah yes, this past season, the one in which he played 39 of 82 games. Well I definitely take that fact/stat at face value and am completely convinced that he would have maintained it for the entirety of the season. Oh and yes please bring up some inconsequential tidbits like "He has a higher career +/- in the postseason than Giannis or Jokic". What do they have that Embiid doesn't? They've each won an NBA championship and seeing as how you really like to 'big up' individual accolades, let's see... both of those guys have also been regular season MVPs... oh wait, and they've also been FINALS MVPs. As for your nonsensical closing line of "Facts don't care about your uneducated, casual feelings" - take a look in the mirror. You're stating all the stats and facts to make it seem like Embiid is cream of the crop. Here's a figure for you: 0/ZERO - Conference Finals appearances; 0/ZERO - NBA Finals appearances. 0-3 - Embiid's record in Game 7s. You can see yourself out now.

    The NBA has too many games in a season for such a dominant bigman like Joel to stay healthy. He is 7 foot... he is not build to play 60 games a season. That is why they have to limit his minutes and he should be thinking about how to win in the playoffs instead of having stupid stats goals like average 30 in de regular season. Maybe he should also share the ball more and make his teammates better like Jokic does. What about having a goal to average more assists instead of just wanting to boost his personal stats. Who cares if he would score 50 a game? What is the goal of the game? To score 50 or to win?
