Palmdale use to be a nice town. Early 90s to mid 90s. Late 90s to early 2000s alot of bad people from la migrated over there. Alot of gangs. It got ugly. I lived there from 2001 to 2003. Palmdale also had better public parks than la. Havent been there in a minute. I should go back man
I remember the change happening. Used to be a nice place to raise a family, had great friends until I went to Littlerock high school, and realized how ghetto the entire area had become in only a few short years. Glad I escaped.
The Sheriff Dept out there has testified in many court cases that the Antelope Valley became a “melting pot” of gang activity from all over Los Angeles County.
I don’t sell homes and can be honest and not hold back. So anything from the 14 freeway to about 15 street East. Do not buy there. A lot of run down apartments and older homes. BUT! The city of Palmdale has a new general plan and that whole area will probably look very different in the future. Also I’m starting to see a younger generation come in and buy those older homes and fixing them. So now from about 20 East to about 60 street East you have pockets of nice blocks but also blocks with some homes not taken care Of homes. From 60 East to 70 East you have some nice 👍🏼 homes and affordable. So now let’s talk THE WEST SIDE. And look depending on where you grew up to me most of Palmdale is nice except for the area I mentioned lol but I grew up in Boyleheights in housing projects. Lol so the west side is the “Newer” side. And better neighborhoods. From Tierra subida all the way to 70 street west you have private gated communities , cookie cutters neighborhoods , and some very beautiful not cookie cutter neighborhoods and beautiful ranches. But I will say the further west you go the more expensive. A lot of businesses are coming to Palmdale especially aero space the city of Palmdale landed a huge contract and might possible land the home for space force military branch. Anyways that just my opinion I hope it helps. I love this desert. It’s not perfect but no neighborhood is. Hello Nick. This question is unrelated to this video but what would say electricity, water and gas come out to each month if you purchase a 4 bedroom with pool?
Hey Louis, those bills really depend on a lot of factors. Like, is the home 2 stories or 1 story, what kind of landscaping, and what season it is. For electricity $150-$500 a month depending on time of year and how often you are home. Gas is like $15-$200 water $100-200.
Hi Louis, my friend just moved to a 4 bedroom with a pool and the electric bill for the first full month was $368. The gas bill was almost $500 (it's freezing so the heater and fireplace were on all day and night) and the water bill for 2 months was $68. Trash is $100. Hope that helps.
It also depends on you. I attended highland high school from 2001 to 2003. I got into a few fights but never had beef to the point where im being chased home or shit like that. Just stay away from gangbangers. Thats all.
Palmdale is actually pretty quiet, I haven't had any issues. Packages don't even get stolen off the porch, compared to SFV we have almost no homeless.
Palmdale is quiet and lancaster too.
There is. A lot of drugs ...meth labs.
Caution leaving packages out.
Try to have neighbor sign for 📦.package
Palmdale is chill on the westside Lmao once you hit certain areas of eastside / lancaster it can get sketchy. Just my opinion though
You been lucky
30 years ago Palmdale was nice...Palmdale is turning ghetto trash
You can’t escape crime period no matter where you go. Palmdale is safer than Lancaster by far.
You mean aside from where they found Robert Fuller lynched from a tree at Palmdale City Hall?
you cant escape crime anywhere but you can do more to avoid it by staying away from certain areas

That's the problem with moving to Palmdale if you're not working remotely. Jobs are all minimum wage. No career jobs. Stores are empty. Sucks!
Looking to move over in a year. Thanks for the info.
Around Courson Park...is a no go!!
Move to the West of Palmdale all the way west to be safe.
Just buy a shotgon and and you'll be fine
I live in Palmdale
i just moved here. how do you like it?
Now it's where should you work if you live in Palmdale.
If you’re in aerospace there are options out there.
Yup, no career jobs. They are all dead-end jobs at minimum wage
i’m from palmdale and my best advice is go to Quartz Hill or West Palmdale, East Palmdale is where all the crackheads and “gangs” are.
