Always ask if the nitrogen cylinder has been used for clean nitrogen only. Sometimes the cylinder was used for some other gas and it just gets repainted. If it has had some other gas in it you now have dirty nitrogen and you can get high levels of copper oxide inside even though it's clean gas. If possible get only medical grade nitrogen, the sales person will probably give you a strange look but tell them that is what you want. And even with clean and pure nitrogen you will get some copper oxide build up.
The reason people make negative comments about your brazing because every "expert" teaches brazing differently. Some say start at the pipe than move to the fitting, this one said to start at the fitting then move heat to the pipe 😂 Even harris and lucas-milhaupt "experts" cant agree on the type of flame if it must be neutral or reducing 😂
Nitrogen brazing is a thing
Fan of the podcast from out of North Carolina
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Geat video. I know you did not flow nitro for demonstration purposes, what is the best way to remove those flakes from that txv afterwards?
Using a flush system like RX11 flush but nitrogen will avoid all that. In reality RX11 is only for linsets
Heat the joint first. If your gap is snug, heat will transfer quickly to pipe. If not snug, use a lever type swaging tool.
Cool Video. Brazing with Nitrogen is cool.. i put regulator on 3.. at 6 I notice nitrogen pushing out filler... had that ever happened to you
If the flow is too high yes, that can happen
Can you make a video about Stay Brite 8 as an alternative to high temp brazing?
I'm working on it

Counter guy will zero idea about this
Do you recommend always change your txv when changing a compresor.?

What is the main reason for the acces port?
Heat the pipe then the joint
Heat the joint them move the heat away not bring it towards
Fantastic video and info thanks
My pleasure thank you! @@eastcoast186
Funny thing. In real life I've never seen anyone using nitrogen (except myself when I was green).
