    For what they are ok. High maintenance bikes! Need crf honda 230 motors. Bolt right up! Hawk dlx is one awesome looking bike!

      for the price having the ability to travel on or off the road i feel i got my moneys worth.

    Might want to check your valve lash. She sounds very very tight. When warmed up it just produce an audible 'ticking" (NOT LOUD just noticeable) if proper lash. Adjust to .003 intake and .005 exhaust in inches on the feeler. And 2 more simple issues you may have, AIR LEAK at the intake and the SHITTY exhaust gasket that comes on these (probably drawing in air fooling o2 sensor) will cause the symptoms you are experiencing. 18291-MN5-650 honda part number for a good one. The fact it has issues with LOW throttle means it is likely air leak and/or TIGHT VALVES

      Thanks for the info. I did check the valves they where very close. I will re visit them just to double check. I'll order the new exhaust gasket and give that a try. I did check the seat on the intake they where off a bit I reposition them and tightened them. I really do like riding this bike it just drives me crazy it's not running exactly right. Thanks again for the advice.

      @@grimr27 Hang in there. She WILL perform for you. Something simple is bugging her. LOOK for simple stuff. Have heard and SEEN evidence of electrical connectors backing out of their housings causing poor connection. SHE WILL RUN! look for simple errors

    Mine would do the same thing I’d have to give it gas for it to start. I went through all the cables and made sure they where plugged in all the way. I noticed a grey one wasn’t clicked in. It was because it had a bent pin. I straightened it out and clicked in back in. After a few runs the check engine went away and the starting issue did too.

    A lot of times those bikes have a bad defective CDI box.
    Start by changing the spark plug to a NGK spark plug 👍🏻
    If you still have that problem go ahead and change that CDI box

      I did change the spark plug at 100 miles. Not any better. The company I hot it from said they would send me what ever part it needed. I just gotta figure out what's wrong. Now the check engine light is on maby I can figure out what scanner I can get to scan the code. Tx powersports has a $500 scanner but I don't want to spend that much there's gotta be a cheaper scan tool that will work.

      Yeah I would say 85% of that problem is the CDI box, I end up buying a scooter one time because the guy I have that problem and he sold it to me for 500 bucks I spent $26 and had it fixed within 2 seconds! One time my bike started acting up like that she did it once
      I shut the bike off
      I hit the switch off and on and she was back rolling with no problem 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I’m having the same problem, did you ever find out the answer to what was causing your difficulties?

      no it seems to get better after it warms up. i believe it has something to do with the ecu tuning for California emissions .

      yea, i agree. i still have plenty of fun on it. wish lifan would upgrade the xspext i have had great results with the kpr200 and the kp mini they run as they should..

      I looked at the expect but I’m over 6 feet and needed a bigger bike. It’s good to hear about the kpr and mini. You can’t even get your hands on Japanese bikes these day!

      @@4sapphireb I'm 5,9 and had to adjust the back shock half way down and barely sit and be flat footed on this hawk I intend on bringing it down a bit more. My biggest complaint of the hawk is the studder issue on low throttle and the vibration is kind of intense. But like I said I have loads of fun with it..

      It is definitely setup very lean because of Comifornia! The TBS (Throttle Body Sensor) needs to be set to enrichen the fuel to air ration

    Never had any issues with mine and mine had 700 miles on it never had a problem

      It has 200 miles on it it has been like this from day 1 yesterday the check engine light came on.

      @@grimr27 probably came with a bad fuel pump email your seller they should send out a replacement if cdi and spark plug is fine

    Chinese fuel injection put a Japanese fuel injection on it

    Once you change the gearing and you have her broken in.
    You going to notice a big difference! It's like teaching a little kid how to walk at first I remember when I first got my bike I was like oh hell no!!!
    The vibration and that gearing that comes with it I was not liking it one bit.

      I live in the country so there is alote of dirt roads i like that i can just cruise at my own pace and explore side roads. Its just disappointing with the skipping feeling at low throttle. I bought the efi version so i did not have to work on it. i have had lots of bikes that i had to work on in the past. im glade there is a warranty on the parts but without knowing whats wrong i cant just get parts. The check engion light went off when i cranked it today so i drove it to work at lunch. Its still fun to ride i just hope what ever is wrong dose not destroy the bike because it dose seem to be running lean. did your exhaust turn colors?

      Dude I wish I can help you when you said skipping I'm not quite sure I understand what you talking about.
      I know if you have a different chain with a different sprocket you will get some kind of skipping! But then again I don't think that's what you talking about, if I were you take it to a mechanic and submit the bill to

      To be honest with you
      I don't really get along with those people they did me wrong from the beginning they are a very dishonest company!! Hell I'm still waiting for my spark plug and gloves that I never got not only that when I got my bike my bike supposed to be full assemble that was a joke! But whatever I've been working on motorcycles for a very long time
      I just threw my money away🤷🏻‍♂️
      I replaced my exhaust from the beginning as well and yes she did turn colors they not stainless steel they're just cheapy cheapy I'm happy with the one I got now sounds pretty badass! One thing
      I can tell you is sometimes those Chinese motorcycle start acting up and every time I change the CDI box that will fix the problem but you never now You probably have some other problem I don't know I heard people have problem with the few injector wires as well.
      Me myself I never had any problem with my bike knock on wood.

      @@lv-blackhawk yeah skipping is probably not the best description it feels like a surging once you roll the throttle a little more than 1/4 it runs normally. im sure ill figure it out sooner or later. I got this bike from moto pro the kpr also. I hate to here your bad experience with tx power sports i just placed an order with them Monday for a kp mini. sure hope i don't have trouble with them.

      Hey when you get time check all your connectors for your fuel injector!
      When I got my bike my connectors was loose and not making a good contact so go through all your wires first and check that out you never know, I wish you well maybe you will have a better experience with them.
      Wow so you going to end up with three motorcycles you rolling like a pimp 😁

      @@lv-blackhawk haha no I had the money for either 1 brand name motorcycle or 3 China bikes I decided on the 3 😁. I looked at my battery today and there was a so much corrosion on the bolts I couldn't even see them. This weekend I'm going to take it back apart and double check and clean everything one more time.
