    Do you know if is it possible use this pedal as an "anti treble booster"? I use a treble booster just after the guitar and I would like to split a clean signal to feed another pedals. Is not simple as use a simple splitter, the treble booster must interact directly with the guitar pickups and using a passive splitter (not buffered for obvious reasons) I wil cut the signal in a half loosing tone. Hope you can give me your thoughts. Thanks for your video

      wow man I really wouldn't begin to know the answer to that. It sounds like you would have to experiment a bit. I would also try a boss LS-2 for that.

    Interesting idea, but surely I'm better off getting a graphic EQ like a Boss or MXR?
    Presumably those can do exactly the same trick plus more?

    • @JobyP
      @JobyP  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are 100% correct...

      Good to know. I went with a 10 band Caline EQ, very cheap MXR clone. Fingers crossed. Ha

      Yeah, but a graphic EQ probably needs battery. The EHX Signal Pad doesn't - except you need the LED.

    Did you put this in your FX loop or in front of your amp? In the loop it would preserve the distortion while simply reducing the volume, no?

    • @JobyP
      @JobyP  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was in the front. You are correct about what would happen in the loop.

    Hi man great video! I just got a tube amp and I really love the crunchy tone it has but when I turn on my chorus I dont like that much the tone of it so I end up lowering my guitar volume and playing the corus with a "cleaner" signal, do you this one will work for me?

    • @JobyP
      @JobyP  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      possibly, if you can borrow one and try it first. Does your amp have an FX loop? Try your chorus in the fx loop you may like it alot better... thats how I run all my modulation/delay/reverb and it works for me

    I heard that it colours your tone, is it true?
    As a bass player i would use it to lower the volume when I switch from passive to active pickup

    • @JobyP
      @JobyP  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say yes 100% when engaged it changes your tone. I did not go this route. I went with an Ernie Ball MVP volume pedal which allows you to have a pre-set volume when rolled down.... it’s far more transparent so that would be my suggestion to you as well. Cheers 🍻

      @@JobyP and what about maybe a Boss Eq?
      If i mantain the eq flat then the volume fader should do the job same as the Signal pad right?

    Does it color your tone much? I hoped I could use this to boost the volume of my solos (turning it off to act as a "boost").

    • @JobyP
      @JobyP  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would turn down Gaiin not Volume. So I would say for what you want.... Skip it.

    • @roy-batty
      @roy-batty 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JobyP I use pedal distortion, so I would put it after my gain. I have only clean channel on my amp, sadly.
      I would swallow the pill of having different tone color for solos, but changing my overall sound would suck.

    • @JobyP
      @JobyP  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest, I never tried it that way... I tell you what. I will make that Video tonight. It’s a good test. I have a distortion pedal and a clean amp so I’ll try it out with the pedal after distortion. As long as nothing comes up I need to do tonight I’ll post that video and we’ll find out how it works :) Could be cool!

      Ou j'ai le gain poussé et la fonction boost activée pour montrer l'efficacité de la pédale en baissant le gain ... Ce n'est PAS une démo de l'ampli.
