I know there use to be a better video of Jimin showing off his martial arts skills, but that was like 4 years ago and I can't find it anymore. However yes, Jimin is talented in various martial arts. As far as I remember all the guys have taken taekwondo when they were younger but only Jimin and Jungkook have black belts in it. Jungkook is pretty impressive as well. I know others have mentioned him being called the 'muscle bunny' which he is called that, even by BTS. He's been working on boxing- Also a little fun fact- RM has a cousin who is an MMA fighter, she's super impressive and has won various championships. Thanks for the reaction 💜💜

I don't think people realize that if jimin juat kicked a little lower on that bottle challenge, he would've broken taehyung's hand. That kick is powerful. Just like a punch, a kick on the head would cause brain damage and that is why taekwondo trainees uses a thick leather sort of helmet while sparing. I know this because i trained and couldn't handle it due to my scoliosis.
An ARMY with martial arts knowledge has written that Jimin has a 4th degree Black belt in TaeKwonDo. This ARMY practiced 15 years in Kendo and said Jimin with his 8+ years of Kumdo (the Korean derivative of Kendo) can easily take down 8-10 people with a 1-inch diameter 2-foot stick. This summer Jimin said he used to practice 1500 sword strikes *daily* to build endurance and stamina. Suga in disbelief said "You're lying." Meanwhile Jimin split a firewood log with one axe stroke. 😂😂 💜

I was so close to getting my blue belt in Taekwondo but I quit before I did lmaoo. My sensei would make me spar with the teenagers because he wanted to push me. I was like 12 and I was sparring with 16 year olds ✋🏾😭 I was only maybe 100lbs they were so much bigger than me it was a bit embarrassing because we had to spar in front of EVERYONE and I would get taken down so fast. Well not too fast I could hold my own but only for a little bit because they were stronger than me
Yoooo Jimin he is crazy athletic, he has what like 2-3 black belts, does contemporary, poping and locking, can CRUMP, can do insane flips, is VERY flexible, and his stamina is incredible (not saying he never gets tired tho) he’s amazing and also another member the youngest Jungkook aka JK has a black belt and he also does boxing a lot these days, he is INSANELY good at boxing his hands are QUICK quick, JK is also know as the “Muscle Bunny” of the group because he’s always working out in the gym and also lifting weights so ofc he has a lot of muscle 💪🏽 he’s also a crazily fast runner, I ask myself if he was born with built in jets 😭

I don't think he really shows his martial arts on camera all that often unless he was goofing off or like you saw, when he integrates it into his dance. I don't think he actively practices any of them anymore, he doesn't have the time and it would just exasperate his chronic pain I'm sure. (Of course I can't know for sure if he doesn't practice, he just doesn't show it). 🙂

@@SmileysSip Being athletes, I'm sure you both would understand the intense wear and tear some of BTS' choreos would inflict, especially when they are on world tours and their concerts are nonstop 2+ hours. Along with J-Hope, Jimin is a Main Dancer and holds nothing back on the stage. Because of his martial arts and tumbling background, Jimin does all the eye-catching (and dangerous) flips, aerials, and kicks in the choreos. And then there are the 10+ hours dance practices, etc. So while this pandemic has wreaked havoc on all our lives, we are all forced to slow down. For Jimin and Suga especially, it has been a time to heal their bodies. 💜
