    • @remoterivermanaustralia
      @remoterivermanaustralia 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Nobody here has brought up the term 'native' except you. And indigenous is not a derogatory term, it is an accurate one. It is defined in the dictionary as 'existing in/inhabitating a land from earlies times, and/or prior to the arrival of colonists'. ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people(s)’, ‘Indigenous Australians’ or First Nations peoples are all equally appropriate. As for 'native means not of the land' - sounds like you made that one up mate. @@CrazyWhiteVanDriver

Seen it done when a buddy and I were shark fishing and he got stung in the ankle by a stingray. Once we got to the ER, they placed his foot and ankle it hot water not boiling water just hot water, within 20 seconds he said he felt dumb by coming in. There's a bit of this and hook accidents happen on fishing/ adventure shows. Why anyone holds a fish for a photo with the lure or hook still in the fishes mouth is asking for it ! Familiarity breeds contempt ! And in this case making a good show probably played a big part. Catch a fish and leave the rays swimming ! 😎👍

    • @remoterivermanaustralia
      @remoterivermanaustralia 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it's a bit like folks who love to handle snakes on camera. Eventually, one's going to get you. Active interaction with stingrays should be left to the experts, who have been perfecting their techniques for tens of thousands of years. And yes, definitely a good idea to pull the hook out of a fish's mouth before posing for a photo - they tend to thrash unexpectedly. I still remember that Harry Butler episode from the 70s, where he tried to grab a freshwater croc and ended up with a ton of stitches in his hand. Those things move a lot faster than people think.

    It is like playing with a Black Mamba. When we tell you in Africa not to mess with the snake with the black mouth then listen. That snake is mad and will chase you.

    The Moral of the Story is Hunt for Fish only and leave Stingray and other marine life alone. Not worth tempting fate.

      The cost of transporting to landfill is huge, we are taliking shiploads 2 days steaming plus. Burning is the only way to reduce impact on wildlife.
