    ■Look For Love
“Look for Love” was Billie Joe Armstrong’s debut single, recorded in 1977 at the age of 5 years old.
The single came about through one of Armstrong’s teachers at Hillcrest Elementary School encouraging him to record the song.
The song was written and produced by a local music shop owner, James J. Fiatarone, and co-written by his wife Marie-Louise Fiatarone.
His wife also conducted the interview that appears on the B-side of the single, titled “Meet Billie Joe”.
    ■When I Grow Up (9 Years old Billie's Dream)
When I grow up I want to have a band that can play rock and roll.
We will start out at the age of fifteen.
Then it will bigger and bigger.
At the age of 20 we will have great big amplifiers and guitars.
At the age of 29 we will go to big time.
We will play for a lot of people.
And then we will have a huge band that can be real loud (or loved).
And then play for even more things.
We will make a lot of people happy. -(His teacher writes in left margin “Sounds great!”)
And we'll have a lot of money.
But if I don’t get a band then I am going to have to do something else.
I could be a football player?
    That’s what I’ll be.
    We will travel all over.
The plays we will win all of our games.
And we will be the champs.
But what if I don’t play football.
    I don’t (know) what I’ll be.
    I know I’ll be something.
The End - (His teacher writes at the bottom, “I’d bet on that!”)
