Watching this now that I’m older, I’m not sure if I can even really call Vincent a villain. The poor guy was rightfully pissed off when all of his food got stolen
I love how chill the bear is when he realizes he's being robbed. He isn't even the bad guy here.

I thought Vincent had a shorter temper as a kid. Man, he had much more patience than I remember. He doesn’t seem like a villain at all.
Not sure if this was intentional, but the ending of this movie, where Vincent gets hauled off to the Rockies is actually a clever bit of poetic karma when you think about it. This movie takes place within the Eastern U.S (apparently in Illinois or Indiana), where black bears are the only large predator, and Vincent is shown as a gluttonous bully who likes to throw his weight around, but in the Rockies, he’ll have to deal with cougars, packs of wolves and worst of all, grizzly bears, who are well known for bullying and outright killing their smaller cousins, often with little provocation. Meaning Vincent will have to deal with his own Vincent.
I died laughing when the bear woke up and RJ put the lid back on so he thought he wouldn’t hear it 😂
2006 was a great year in Hollywood with great animated films at the box office

Revisiting this scene as an adult makes me appreciate how the tie-in game for the movie actually gave Vincent a happy ending. He joins RJ and the other animals and even helps defend their home during one of the levels.
Even as a kid, it aggravated me that RJ didn't just simply ask Vincent for a little food. He seemed pretty chill at first before he realized RJ was robbing him and he even knew his name. Like they're well acquainted seems like. Here's how the situation should've gone.
The most crazy part of this movie is that judging by Vincent’s reaction to being woken up, he obviously knew who RJ was. What makes RJ such an idiot is that literally the entire movie could’ve been avoided if he just nicely asked Vincent if he could have some of his food and then none of this would’ve happened.

RJ just couldn’t help himself. He could just taken the few bags that were at the entrance, but was enticed to take the whole horde. And even when he had it all, he decided it was a good idea to even take the canister from Vincent’s paws and even open it in front of him.
Vincent isn't an evil bear he's just a grumpy bear.
