Did she record her own backing for this or is it just pitch shifted?

It’s pitch shifted. The app HoloEN uses for karaoke has that as a function so the holomems can adjust the key of songs to what feels most comfortable for their individual vocal ranges. They can also mute the bg vocals if it sounds too weird in that adjusted key or the original. Gura has used a bg vocal of herself to harmonize before, just not for this song, so maybe you’ve seen clips like that before. I’ve seen her improvise bg tracks on the spot in Audacity before though, usually just to keep tempo if she’s unfamiliar with the song’s lyrics or lead vocal, she’s struggling to keep up with the karaoke app’s instrumental, and/or she needs to isolate her vocal to practice with just the harmony but no instrumental. But iirc she only tends to feel comfortable enough to do that on the fly during members-only karaoke, not public ones.
