This is called American democracy! These politicians can get a lot of votes by saying good things and giving some prizes. Ordinary voters happily wait for a vote every few years, naively thinking that their votes can really improve the country. Choose an agent from several chaebols. Their first goal in winning the election is not to make ordinary people's lives better, but to fill the pockets of the chaebols behind them. Finally, everyone must understand that the United States is not strong because of its system, but because it is strong, its system is strong.

Decades ago, when China began its economic reforms and opened its doors, Western products flooded into China like a tide. However, the Chinese people did not complain. Instead, they worked hard and humbly learned, which is the right way to go. Now, some Western countries that are failing blame their misfortunes on China, which is a sign of weakness, especially in the case of the United States. The once confident America has now turned into a resentful and insecure nation.

I'm from Argentina. So far in less than three weeks Milei has: devalued our currency by 50% in a single day, made protests illegal (you have to ask permission to the government or face jail), destroyed pensioners, tried to pass a draconian executive order, tried removing the law forbidding foreign capitals from buying massive amounts of land, is trying to sell all state owned enterprises (even the ones that give a lot of revenue to the state such as the Vaca Muerta gas fields), want to sell most natural resources to foreign bidders. He's going to finally kill this country.

Your currency was already worthless and being used as wallpaper because it was cheaper than actual wallpaper, in fact this is what Milei campaigned on, you will eventually drop it entirely as is the case in any other country facing hyperinflation
Protests aren't illegal at all, and the idea of doing it in orderly fashion is in accordance to the lawful principles of most nations, you're never allowed to block roads in any country whilst protesting and can be arrested for that in any country. Why this was different in Argentina until now i have no idea.
The reductions in public spending are an internationally recognized necessity as Argentina's state had been spending well above it's means for decades. Again it's something Milei campaigned on.

Most of Argentina lands and resources are in the hand of American, it's the time to repossess them from the US and return the land to Argentinian.

The other largest creditors are private creditors and the IMF, so from what i found it owes far more money to Japan and Germany than it does to the USA and far more money to the IMF than to either of those countries.
Unless your argument is that the IMF is the USA in disguise the USA doesn't hold a lot of argentine debt at all, which is good because the odds Argentina can pay it are low so it wouldn't be good to be holding it

The question should be, can Argentina get a better deal from the US by cutting off China? And Brazil? These are Argentina's biggest trading partners based on the latest available info.....Brazil(11.2B), China(5.93B), US(4.55B), India(4.19B) and Chile (3,93B) . But the numbers alone belied a very important fact. Trade with China is growing exponentially. It is getting favorable trade concessions and most important of all, China set no condition for trading unlike the US whose main intention is to get rid of China.

Only way they can get out of austerity is to refinance those high interest IMF loans and increase their exports by a lot. If your country has nothing of value that other countries want, you're gonna be poor.

After checking Argentina’s broad money total, my students and I simply estimated that achieving dollarization would require a long-term low-interest borrowing of about US$90 billion. If the economic agreement with the Chinese government is severed, an additional US$20 billion would be needed. I guess Milei wanted the US to pay for it all, unfortunately it didn't work out. Maybe there will be changes next year if Trump is elected? Who knows.

Populist leaders have only one slogan and that is we have some how EU ancestry and therefore out of nostalgia lets get in bed with Europe again. But the matter of fact is that Argentina is not in EU and has had a war with UK in the past. Its only way forward is to look what's best for them and deciding what's best based on skin color is not one of them.

It's best that China and BRICS stay far away from Argentina as possible. It's a liability for everyone. Argentina chose its dance partner to do the Tango with, hopefully the US will do a better job in leading them.
