My guess, because of the anchors being plastic and the fact they're drilled into sheetrock, the door is some hollow IKEA type of particle board. If you want a solid wood door, I'd look at pocket doors, because they anchor to the stud and you finish with sheetrock. I feel like the doors in this video couldn't stop the big bad wolf with a respiratory infection. Probably pop out like a screen door, especially while extended from the wall mounts.
can this system be used in a room that has a carpet flooring? i suppose as long as the door is under 50kg it is "floating" so should not be an issue right? but if the door is heavier requiring the wheel kit, can this be used in a carpeted room?
Hi Kelly, With the GHOST mechanism the door is actually hung slightly off the wall so there is space (as shown in the video) between the door and wall to attach the side caps no problem. Providing the door used for GHOST matches the required dimensions (listing in the installation instructions on our website) then it will work wether its cusom made or not. We dont have any reccoemended door suppliers, but have had customers in the past who have been able to use GHOST with their existing doors.
