Thanks for the great review. This place seems very over hyped and i'm not convinced to go. I am curious to know what time of year you went and what the temperature was? Could you do this in Nov/winter?

We were there during summer around mid June. I don't remember the temperature but it wasn't too cold or too warm. I think they do close when it snows too much. Check out their website for the cancellation policy: www.bluelagoon.com/

I was there in September. The weather was cold (40F), cloudy/drizzly. It was nice to feel the contrast of the cold on my face with the very warm of the rest of my body in the water. Because of the silica, getting the water in your eyes sting so I wouldn’t recommend sticking your head in the water. Also, the silica might stiffen your hair for several days. Leave the hair conditioner in your hair.
