This!
YES!

SEED YOU LIKE DANK PODS??? LETS GOOO
Merry Nuggmas
SilverCrest is Lidl's brand for stuff other than food. If you guys don't have it in Australia, it means some of these have travelled all the way from europe
Better yet, it's under WEEE recycling, meaning it specifically travelled from Ireland. 😂
Damn we got some geographers in here
The people on the Nextar sound like they're from the upland south region of the US
I was legit like "wait- I know that name from somewhere-"
@@Matsubusa69just because we know countries other than australia or the us of a does not mean we are geographers but whatever you say lmao
The nugget microphone tests are my absolute favorite part of every nugget dip 😂
it reminds me of the big lez show
The sansa clip zips (the first one you pulled) are pretty valuable in good condition ($100AUD+ last I checked). They're discontinued now but they have a very good quality audio output, a microSD slot that will accept 256gb+ cards, and rockbox support (RUN DOOM ON YOUR NUGGET). I've kept mine for over a decade now, replaced the battery twice. It's worth it.
> run doom on your nugget
EXCUSE ME?
@@ctb3335 There are a few videos of it: Search "sansa clip zip rockbox". Rockbox also nearly doubles the battery life of these players and takes them from a 20s boot time to
YES! I have like 3 of these! All rockboxed. I still keep one on hand with a 200gb micro sd card full of mp3s. And yes ctb3335, it can run Doom
@@ctb3335 Rockbox is a custom firmware for certain MP3 Players, and depending on the power of the processor, you can actually play doom, among other things.
You can even play SPC files from SNES games which are like a few KB and are SNES specific midi files and the Rockbox firmware emulates the SNES sound hardware to play them.
I feel like watching this on 240p to save data is totally in the spirit of nugget dip
Nuggets with 240p? We're not ballers mate!
it's so in spirit that it somehow switched to 240p for me, and i'm using an older version that still lets you select the default quality!
Same here when I'm on Mobile data, but I go even lower at 144p
@@A_ARAFAT at that point you’re essentially just listening to audio lol
Intentionally watching this in 144p on a 7th gen iPod Touch for the memes.
Love a tony cameo, and him being better than the nug is just the icing on the cake
tony HAS to be better than at least something

Btw if you need fixed battery let me handle them for nugget won't turn on so imma got fixed it again
Back in 2007, MP3 player makers were tasked with the question.. "What does the future look like?" and some of them decided the future would be Bean-shaped
Given the Samsung beans, they weren't entirely wrong.
@@blakksheep736Samsung beans ? I know of the Sony beans.
@@Gatorade69 I'm referring to the bean shaped Samsung wireless earbuds.
i’m not lying, this is my comfort channel. i’ve fallen asleep to your videos countless times. there is something so tranquil about an aussie man yelling at cheap electronics
It always brightens my day when I get to see wade yell at some nuggets from the nugget lucky dip

If this series has taught me anything, it's to record random ramblings on my nuggets before getting rid of them.
Its actually been amszing watching this channel grow from 80k subs to 1.5 million.
You can tell Wade really enjoys his videos aswell! 😊
I love to imagine the dip nuggets as troubled spirits, long given up on by the people who once loved them and sleeping a restless sleep-then Wade plugs them in and they gasp back to life, given a last chance to be seen, recognized, remembered, before he guides them across the river to their final peaceful resting place.
Also, sidenote, but I had this horrible little MP3 player back in the day that I always hope I’ll see in a nugget dip because I can’t remember what it was but I loved that thing so much. The only things I had on it were A). the album Hannah Montana 2, B). the album Mule Variations by Tom Waits, and C). the song Fields of Gold by Sting. This was totally fulfilling to me at the time. I was a 10-year-old boy.
Some of them get sent to hell via the one grit though
@@jetison333 Sometimes it’s kinder to shoot a lame horse, yknow?
That's beautiful. Thank you for that image, stranger.
Brings them across the river by *smashing them with a fucking rock like a neanderthal*
I feel like a lot of the newer episodes haven't been as focused on nuggets, it's always refreshing to see one of these
I think he's said before, but nuggets have slowly died out, he couldn't find any at the last cashies, so hes said this and cashies will probably be some of the only nuggets left
@@tardisman602 It took me a couple of months to actually find a brand new nugget in any shop, even radios are more common than nuggets it's so sad
@@tardisman602it would be fun if he pivoted to nasty cheap android phones
@@gammaboost yea I miss his nugget content, been watching a little less, but still love DankPods nonetheless
@@JackS425 I think he's done a couple in his nugget dip, but yea it would be fun, I'd like to see him try to mod them lol
You 100% need to keep the pink nugget installed in Tony at all times as a decoration
The mic test stories alwas amaze me. I'm convinced all of them are real stories from Wade's life. The 6 spider bites are where he got his powers from.
So sick that you got a Silvercrest device haha, thats a brand owned by the german supermarket chain "Lidl". They make everything from Blenders, Air Fryers and apparently, nuggets. I wonder how that made its way to australia
We used to have a massive CRT TV from them lol
thats the same company with a mobile game where you gotta go and photograph random Lidl products to get a certain currency
i may have owned a Silvercrest, not sure, will look for it and update you
oh i just realized i owned that Silvercrest!
i own a silver crest switch controller!!! it's actually not as bad as you'd think it'd be for 15 quid
I had an MP3 player similar to that pink one. It had a built in FM transmitter in it. It was for older cars that didn't even have a working cassette deck any more. Worked great for my commute to college
Yes! That has to be it! Maybe wade will try it again.
That sandisk was my childhood! I've still got it kicking around somewhere with random dubstep tunes and the frozen soundtrack loaded on it
3:35 Is it just me or does this sound like the exact same microphone quality as that one xbox live voice chat meme?
4:59 that's mini USB, ya dingus
thank you for giving me that existential whip lash that 2023 is ending soon, it was a terrible year for me and hope its gone fast.

Odd numbered years suck
The Frank Zappa comment blew me away. So rare to see anyone who knows who he is these days. What an amazing guitarist and abstract song writer.
Sansa clip was a decent mp3 player. It supported FLAC and was practically bulletproof. I ran one for years paired with portable headphone amp.
OMG , a SilverCrest. That's a genuine Lidl nug. Beautiful.
Silvercrest is amongst the most esteemed brands in Europe, ranging from wall clocks and beard shavers, to plug in hot plates and gaming keyboards. It’s simply impossible to find a thing that exists that Silvercrest has not made.
Was boutta say, I've got alot of Silvercrest stuff hanging around
Yep, lidl makes a lot of good quality unexpensive stuff
I got a microwave oven and a drill from that brand! Been hanging out for the last 7 years or so, so it's actual good quality for cheap!
Never heard or seen them. What part of europe is that? its definitely not in my country
And Parkside for power tools
The Clip Zip is a nice find. They're the perfect Rockbox player and will read any size MicroSD card.
2:38 *palpable rage*
Did not expect a SilverCrest player from Lidl here. That's... random. And I remember seeing that exact model for sale in their giant tech bins years ago here in Sweden.
Every since I first saw these nugget dips, I always waited for the day to see the same MP3 player I used all the time as a kid. Clicking on this video and seeing that the FIRST ONE is the exact same one I remember, puts a smile on my face. 😊
i had an old RCA nugget but I remember recording the radio on it to listen to because I hadnt mastered the concept of computers being able to do that. it was one similar to this model: TH1611
BRO SAME!!! I USED TO HAVE A SANSA TOO!!!
I love this series so much... It's totally what I would always do whenever I got something that had storage. Love to stalk the previous owners of electronics. I mean, the Christian Contemporary playlist with the random Def Leppard is hilarious and so accurate.
You can't find any more because you bought them all. Love this series.
My favorite nugget recordings are the ones that sound like they were recorded onto wax cylinders
I was about to be real sad if this was the last nugget dip. Thankfully, it's only for 2023
4:00 Your teammate's mic
4:38 I actually have one of these, it’s more a Bluetooth Wireless Dingus and you connect an Aux cable to your car radio or tune in a shortwave frequency that you set on the dingus. It’s great for older radios and the one I have is pretty well built, got it at walmart for 20 bucks.
I knew as soon as I saw that sandisk one it was going to work. I still have one of those I was using from 2012 until 2020 as my gym nug. Still works to this day and it has rockbox on it so I can play doom on it too.
Ah I missed Sexy Speaker. I feel like it's been a while since she's graced us with her presence.
I legit think my favourite part of these episodes are the mic test skits, they're absolute gold
Love a lucky dip video, but gotta say, my favourite part of Friday is always the Frank clip at the end. What a good little stinky danger noodle ❤
I don't think I can survive 3 months without a nugget dip. I am new to the channel and have been watching at least 2 everyday.
you're overdosing mate
Don’t forget your daily intake of Garbage time
FINALLY, HE MANAGED TO UPLOAD THE VIDEO!
He just needed some rest.
After a long day at school + theater rehearsal, this is exactly what I need.
At 8:43 the laugh sounds like a Mario death sound.
That clock actually has some utility in the modern world (at least conceptually). Especially for someone like my nan, who has never touched a smartphone. To have a portable device that just gives her radio and time would actually be huge!
Just because it's modern, it doesnt have to be "smart".
6:35 SilverCrest is usually sold in LIDL, saviour of poor blokes but above all LIDL IS PARKSIDE, PARKSIDE IS LIFE - PUOI FARCELA CON PARKSIDE! I mean they even pull out ads with Arnold Schwarzenegger, it's almost perfect
I read that like dank does when he sees uppercase 😂
You beat me to it, but actual, is Parkside really that good?
@@pingucraft95 absolutely. Can't beat Festool or others in that league in long run, that's for sure. But hasn't failed me yet with home and boat repairs, so...!
6:48 its a lidl brand, they sell good things tho
Really? The only thing I remember using from Silvercrest is a Sandwich press that would emit actual black smoke everytime you used it...
@@pingucraft95 they sell good things, depends how old it was, and you got a 3 year warranty

9:22 12 stones is a local band! you might be looking at a louisiana nugget, how the hell did that get to australia
1:46 "oooo its got hidden stuff on here
Wuuueelll than *grabs sexy speaker" XDD
That clip zip has been my daily driver for like 10 years or so. Rockbox firmware makes it quite a bit better and lets it run Doom, etc. It's a quality item.
Came here to share same info. SanDisk players compatible with Rockbox just awesome.
2:58 how did he not make a joke about the backlight being RGB?
I actually got really excited when I saw this, so excited in fact that I gasped loud enough for my mom to come in my room to check to see if I was okay.
3:40 average csgo2 Mic
This was a pretty good nugget lucky dip, all things considered.
I literally live in the town (Soest, Germany, 50k people) where this SilverCrest Nug was made. My heart stopped working, how did it travel THAT far lol
Yay! more random and bizarre nuggi! Love these videos. That "Car" type one sure was bizarre. Surely the designers thought "what if the buyer wants to take it with them to listen on a walk". Frank didn't even tongue flick the camera. :)
You know it's a good day when a Nugget Lucky Dip video is uploaded! An Aussie Man pulling out and yelling at nuggets. What more could one need?
What d'ya mean it's outta focus? iPhone 15 focusing on the most important part of the shot @ 2:15: The sexy speaker.
You sir are the reason I can do an Australian accent. I watched like two of your vids (a while ago) and I just subconsciously learned how to do an Australian accent
the nickelback nug has a fire playlist. 12 stones, 10 years, 3 doors, hinder, this man was a late 2000 rockstar maaan
2:00 Wade, you MUST tell me where you found that chunky aux cable with 90⁰ plugs... I've been after one for absolutely years!
May a new generation of nugget dips come forth
At 3:18 when it says "Rump shaker" the date it was modified and the day it was last opened is literally my birthday, as in the exact day I was born, that's wild
You are destined for shakeness
6:35 Silvercrest! That brand is now used for LIDL supermarket items, at least in the UK anyway.
edit: Given it was a clock/alarm/FM radio from 2016 with Made In Germany on it, I'm saying that WAS from a LIDL supermarket!
A nugget dip a month keeps the sadness out of the dumps. Genuinely giddy when I saw this in my notifications!
Whatta way to to finish the year's last nugget dip. Truly a treat that can't be beat. Can't wait for the first dip of 2024, Danksy!
I’m an Arctic Paratrooper in the US Army, and recently I went to buy a new mp3 player for a field event I just got back from. In the cold, batteries drain really fast so the newer phones aren’t even good enough for a day before they die.
But players for some reason just keep chugging, and with a battery pack they’re immortal. So I went to Best Buy to get a new one since my old Chinese knock-off finally kicked the bucket with a dead screen, and the spike nose-piercing cashier chick asked me what that was, and had to look it up - not just if they had it in stock, but what an MP3 Player even was.
I was born in 2003 and I’m 20, there’s no way these things are already THIS outdated. But irregardless, they’re perfect for what they do- solidly reliable piece of tech these nuggets.
I once saw a similar thing that plugs into the car. It could output radio so old car radios could play your own mp3s. Actually would've been cool to see it working.
Last one so soon? Fair enough. Thanks for keeping us entertained during the Rona, and for continuing to keep us smiling in some pretty rough times. Much love Wade.

Last of 2023, the series will continue in 2024 given its normal schedule of about 1 every 3 months
Dw it's just the last one of 2023. Hell come back next year
I look forward to Thursdays purely for Danks videos.

lol it’s Friday in Australia for us, it comes out at 7 ish and I can watch on the bus. It works great
@@AWAYTAE Also Friday for us in Europe. It's at 1 o' clock-ish.
Fun fact! The sansa clip only shows files used by the specific USB protocol. So if files were added via media transfer protocol they won't show up if your USB drive classes it as mass storage class. I had a prolonged struggle with my dad's sansa before I realized this.
I actually use a version of that Sansa when I mow my lawn. I bought it new only a couple years ago to replace an older Sansa Fuze that I broke trying to reassemble after successfully replacing its battery.
I found either of them more useful that the iPod Nano I also had, as I wear gloves and I would keep having to remove them to control the iPod.
its always a good day when the nugget dip video drops
7:31 What kinda shape is this?
IT'S DIGNITY!
WOW! That first one was my first mp3 player! I had a blue one, used to be my dads and i still have it kicking around somewhere, still worked last time i checked, awesome little thing!
Mymusix's microphone is just perfectly hilarious. Amazing nugget
Silvercrest is the in-house brand for lidl which is a supermarket shop thing around europe
1:43 Yeah those Sansa MP3 players had proprietary software unfortunately, was the times of the "everybody copying Apple's ITunes" wild west.
9:07 i feel like hearing a humans voice on a decade old mp3 players is the same as hearing aliens communicating with us from another galaxy.
for all the nugget voice recordings over the years this is surprisingly the first audio that was all garbled. great job! it’s been quite a few years id say since it was last bad

9:35 god damn, it's got some VINTAGE Nickelback tracks like Money Bought and "Here I am" (the song is actually called Where? but whatever), someone really loved their Nickelback nugget! (Could be me, lol)

6:40 WEEEEEEE
Great to see Wade was able to get the vid done. Don't the biggest companies make the worst products.
This may be the first time I actually recognize a nugget on a nugget dip episode because I think my friend had that first one back in middle school! It's been a very long time since then so I don't fully remember how it looked like, but the one in the video definitely looks very similar to what he used. I was using my dad's old 6th gen iPod classic at the time (that thing lasted me through high school as well and I still have it working) but I still always found my friend's nug quite fascinating just because I liked how cute and tiny it was and the little clip it had. Also, smartphones had been a thing for quite a while at that point, so I found it cool to see someone else still using mp3 players :)
3 minutes in and it already has all of the Dank Pods greatest hits!
