Seven is one hell of a movie. Loved it then, love it now, will love it in the future. I've had a strange feeling now come to think of it... my favourite movies have this man i the cast... seven, snatch, fight club, inglourious basterds, once upon a time in hollywood

Maltin has serious cred as a film critic. He's been on the beat for decades and a lot of this is his style, which hasn't caught up with the current rapid-fire approach to interviewing. Some of those pauses were damned awkward, but he does get interesting comments from Brad. Which is pretty much the point of it all...
I love "Ocean's 12", watched it many times, find it much better than 13. OST, Vensan Cassel, costumes all are amazing. And the bar scene with Matsui is the funniest bit in the trilogy, imo.
It is probably one the most underrated comedy's. It's like they had an idea but just improvised lot of the scenes. There's a scene where Elliot Gould asks who's on the 100 dollar bill? You can hear like 5 different answers:) Churchill, Travolta etc. It's just a fun movie.
I think the interviewer did a great job. I thought BP was being uncharacteristically withholding. Or at least uncharacteristically given how he's been - more recently post-rehab.
Leonard Maltin is as much an icon of the film industry as Roger Ebert and Brad Pitt, but yeah not very good at interviews. Weird considering he is a very good writer and can be very verbose.

I'm seeing people here complaining about the interviewer. Yeah, he's a little slow to start speaking, takes long pauses, but he's asking great questions.
I respectfully disagree (11:58). A guy like Brad Pitt gives a lot more than just his performance as an actor. So does Will Smith. Because movies take so long to make, they have to go out there and find other ways to share with their fans. Of course there's a time and a place for everything and once they're off duty, they're on their own and shouldn't be disturbed. But Brad himself loves to play, gets on TV all the time, has fun with people on the street, even making jokes and interacting with people. At least one famous time when he pretended to wait in line for a movie theater with people and faked being abducted in a van by guys. And he's there onstage giving his heart out.
Very enjoyable. UMMmmmmm why aren't they wired? Seems something went wrong with the clip on mics and they, the sound department, had to resort to hand held.
He s just a good actor ,not bad but not something special..(i dont say that only his beauty helped him but he hadnt never been superstar without it)but he has starred to 2 of the best movies of all time forme .7 and fight club of course..!
Maltin oddly seemed intimated, despite his many decades working in film. Pitt’s rarely a great interview, aside from his Charlie Rose spot in New York for “Troy” years ago (just not the brightest guy on earth). And that audience is too drunk on Pitt’s fame & aura to allow an intimate enough setting for an adult discussion.
I'm not sure from what, but Leonard Maltin has been quite ill now for a few years, so if there feels like something off about him here, it's likely due to that. He's just not physically who he once was.
Thought he was great. TH-cam comments always think they can interview people better than anyone else. Like fuck off and just enjoy the video you cynical asses. The only interviews I never see the comments shitting on the interview is Joe Rogan. And he’s a shitty interviewer! Dude literally doesn’t skip a beat or question if his guest just lies or spews bullshit. He also is terrible at moving the interview along with how long they are. But I don’t comment that on his video because I like enjoying things instead of looking for every single chance I have to shit on someone’s hard work.
@@rybackfrankie8679 I havent seen Kalifornia yet, but in 12 Monkeys he played a loony who leads a group of animal activists who were blamed for the spread of the virus but in reality he was just a fall guy and the real villain was a doctor who manufactured a covid like virus and spread it in an airport.
Tom cruise was a brilliant actor once but now all he does is mindless action films whereas brad was kind of average when he started but he vastly improved with time and now he is definitely the better actor
What did he meant with the oceans 12 joke? They had a great time but the movie wasn't good in his view? Or they they had a great time and that translated on the screen?
They had a fantastic time making all three, but O12 is widely considered the weakest of the trilogy. Not that it's an objectively bad movie, but looking at it just in the context of that franchise, it's on the low end. It was a bit rushed to be developed after the hit the first one was, the studio just took an long existing screenplay out of storage about two thieves trying to one-up each other and wanted to make the sequel from it, so it got altered enough to make one side of that battle became the entire Ocean's team. I'm sure they're all still proud of it, but something's just kinda... "off" about it. They put a lot more attention and consideration in closing out the trilogy in a worthy way, the script that was used for O13 was commissioned for that purpose, and it was received critically closer to how 11 was.
