    I saw multiple reviews on Amazon saying that this trainer broke on first few practices. How did yours hold up?

      I'm a volleyball coach, bought 3 of them. The weak part of this stick is the screw thread made of plastic. Right after the first training session one thread showed already a crack. Now after a view training sessions (I didn't use them that much because I'm just alone coaching 25 kids ;-) ) one has broken at the screw thread. I would strongly recommend a stronger thread material.

      Ya... Many people I know has talent and skill but the coaches just have too much people to watch and often didn't see those talents( jk~if u have talent and skill it doesn't matter if the coach doesn't see it, just keep improving and one day they'll definitely realise, don't use that as an excuse, if ur good enough even when the coach sees u when ur under the weather u can still perform well and even shock them when you're in the mood

    Hey Coach Donny, I just started volleyball not long ago and I was wondering how you set a really fast ball coming towards you?

    • @finnbyrne_photo
      @finnbyrne_photo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've started recently too and I've noticed that myself and most of the new players in my bracket seem to struggle with this. It seems that everybody moves to the ball on instinct, but what we're told most is that second ball = always the setters so they have the most room to move whilst everyone else holds positions (for spikes, incase of a block etc). 9/10, if its a good/high ball (which is the case if your teammate gets a good receive in), you want to position yourself underneath it and make contact with your fingers, creating a aperture (or something similar) with your index fingers and thumbs so it sits right in for good contact, then push with your arms>wrists for more power/control to where you want it to go, depending on the positioning/tempo/height/jump height of your spiker.
      I think I have a good grasp of the sport, just lacking in experience that I'm trying to accumulate as of right now. All the best!

    • @bv-im1fg
      @bv-im1fg 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      if its a ball thats been spiked, you dint wanna set that, thats how u break a finger. If you cant move fast enough to bump it, u can make a prayer hand formation in front of ur face.

      Been playing for a while and what I found that works best is putting one hand behind the other and attempt to have it go as high as possible so that there’s a higher chance for others to get to it

    Hey coach i have been playing volleyball for 8 months now at first I am able to hit good spike but now i noticed that my spike timing and speed is getting bag can you explain that sir..

    • @HoltsTricks
      @HoltsTricks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You'll find when you're improving that sometimes you'll hit walls. Especially when you're trying to work on things and improve. Initially you may have been hitting decent spikes but if you're trying to think about improving your spikes then the actions and motions are different and you won't hit as hard or accurately. You just have to keep practicing and it will come to you.
