outstanding, way to go. post more videos on your prep and the prep of your boat for making these trips? what were you thinking for 31 or 41 days? Busy all the time fixing the boat, or just sitting around worrying?
Awesome Jake at your maturity level, just clicked on this feed and seeing you navigate your Dehler 29 across the ocean the same year I bought my Dehler 29 used (1999), one of only a few in North America. For a 29 footer she is on the heavy side but at 8 to 9 knots she comes alive. I love my D29 Quintessence as she leaves the competition behind in a good blow.
Hi Not Me - so glad you liked the video. Roger (the skipper, I just made the vid from his material) is a real inspiration. He found his Dehler a very fast boat, although oddly he felt she was a little lighter than most other 29-footers. The best boat is one you feel the most comfortable in, so it sounds like your Quintessence is a good match. As you can see from the footage, the D29 really picked up her skirts and flew when the wind picked up. Thanks again for your comments. Appreciated.
Thanks for another of these, Jake. The thoughts of the skippers and details of their boats are always fascinating.
Absolutely inspirational !!
Much obliged.
Fantastic!
Hi Roger would you be able to give me details on your storm jib assembly and deck fitting........Regards Nick
This is one tough old guy. Hats off to you mate.
