Actually that publicity thing which tovino had to face was during the actual flood days in 2018 when he volunteered to be in rescue camp collection centres. That time he was asked whether whatever he is doing was for publicity bcos he was a star . That was when he gave this reply and not during this film promotions. That time people made lot of trolls on tovino and called him “ flood star “ saying he was doing publicity for himself. Thsi film was a fitting reply in the true sense for all of them since his role has been much approached in the film.
Yes suraj bhai, i saw this on Sony liv and i was literally in tears. My god my god, this is a true masterpiece. I did not even understand how this film was shot. It was all so natural and its hard to say which is a vfx shot and which one is a set. All actors gave their 2000% effort and its visible in their expressions and dialogues. Tovino Thomas is a real versatile actor. He has nailed his role. Overall a bumper movie and no one should miss this masterpiece epic movie.

The problem with the film's last part is it favors emotions over logic. No one (especially Manju) in the right mind will allow Anoop (Tovino) to travel alone during nighttime. It is too dangerous. And the wedding with Anoop and Manju (Tanvi Ram) was approaching as well.
Anoop (Tovino) got the feeling that Varghese (Sudheesh) and his family are in danger. So he will definitely take couple of men (capable of swimming) with him since it will be too difficult for a single person to save the entire family from the huge flood. On the top of that, Anoop knows that the leg of Varghese’s son is broken as well. So the rescuing needs to be done carefully and it requires couple of men (capable of swimming) to save them.
So I imagine my own happy ending where Anoop (Tovino) and Manju (Tanvi Ram) are married and they look for a bright future despite having gone through the horrors of 2018 flood.
Firstly, marriage of anoop and Manju is a second thought, as during flood (during the actual flood in 2018) everybody was rushing out for help and helping others. As nobody was sure they will see the next day. So they were trying to escape themselves and those who were good in health and capacity to help others, went to rescue maximum people. In such a scenario no one thinks of marriage. And secondly Anoop was not sure whether the Varghese's family was rescued or not. He went there only to verify that they are not stuck. He never imagined them being stuck there. And in an actual flood scenario, it's not possible to take 2-3 people along with you to verify your doubt. As everyone will be busy attending needy people, distributing food dress and some will be out helping others like Anoop. I know this because I have seen people doing it in the actual flood situation in 2018. To be frank what is shown in the movie is a lighter version and the actual scenario is much more terrifying

Marriage of Anoop and Manju was not a second thought since Anoop's family was getting prepared for the wedding at Anoop's house.
So the marriage is most important priority for Anoop and Manju.
The film shows Anoop's mother talking to Anoop and Manju on the phone and showing how they are getting ready for the marriage which includes cooking food and other activities. Anoop's home was not affected by the flood at all and was a safe location for Polish tourists and Aju Varghese's character.
Along with priority of the marriage, Anoop and Manju also made sure that the people were safe as well. After all, they have to do their parts in rescuing.
During flood situations, people do the rescue based on possibilities. Not based on confirmations due to the extreme situations of flood.
Anoop had the feeling that Varghese and his family are trapped. So he decided to move forward. But he will make sure that he will take couple of men with him and Manju will make sure of it.
The film shows couple of men with Anoop when he realizes that Varghese and his family are trapped. Anoop wasn't alone.
So Anoop will definitely take them since rescuing Varghese and his family require multiple people. On the top of that, their boy 's leg is broken. That is why Anoop asks for the stretcher for the boy.
This is not something that a single person can handle.
So the rescuing of the family (including the boy) should be done carefully by couple of people. People will definitely go with Anoop since they know that Anoop's wedding is approaching. If anything happens to Anoop, then they will never forgive themselves.
True Love ensures safety. So Manju will make sure that Anoop and Varghese and his family are safe by making sure that sending couple of men with Anoop for Anoop's safety and for the safety of Varghese and his family.
I am from Himachal India.... No words for this Amazing Movie that too made in a Budget of 25 Crores Bollywood cannot make such movies under this budget... Real Struggle Real Masterpiece.... Not much in north are aware of this.... Should be watch by everyone.... Also tregedy like this shoulnt happen anywhere.... I wish and prey for the same....

Being a Jacobite Syriac Christian who hails from Kerela, I just feel North Indian should know that 2018 was our real Kerela story not that hindi whatsapp forward movie Kerela story made by Hindi director for hindi audience and for hindi poltics. Anyways keralities proved by making 2018 blockbuster and Kerela story as utter failure in Kerela which tried to demean Kerela, influx hatred within our soceity and propagate BJP poltics in our state which has absolute zero presence.

2018: Amazing, very emotional and equally goose bumps as well... Technical brilliance... Kudos to captain of the ship ( Jude Antony Joseph ), Production designer, DOP, Music and Bgm and the amazing casts..
Since this was our story, without loosing any essence, our director shot an amazing film giving full respect to keralites.. Some people say politicians weren't given that importance. My understanding is once flood happens and we are struck, then we are just humans.. No politics, cast, creed anything as such. We are always equal and helpful to each once such situation happens... Upper, middle, lower class, nothing of that sort... Even upper class lost their homes and blood relations that same is applicable for middle and lower class... But still politics also played a major role. Towards the end we are just human beings. Including me, I will say we forgot something called give and take respect. . Always had a feeling we are above all the others... That itself is a wrong thing... No one is above anyone...
Anyways this movie is a reminder in many perspectives.... I will keep this movie for myself and surely whenever I think or get overboard thinking I gained more than others, am surely gonna keep watching this movie as a reminder....

The film is an absolute classic bro. Its hard to believe that this movie was shot in around 20 crores of budget. Special thing about this movie is its graph. Starts slow but it picks up pace and it will literally move you from inside. Super actors. Superb direction. Tovino Thomas deserves a special applause as he keeps doing brilliant script based movies. Hats off to the entire crew of this film and i hope this movie inspires lot of people to bring humanity in them out to help others ❤❤❤
