- Mr. Socrates is a computer that has allergies to dogs... I really don't know how that works, but I guess in the 60-70s.... that was a thing? Yeah, computers used to take up entire rooms back in the day. This entire clip is the computer freaking out that there is a dog in it's room. Enjoy.

I remember this Saturday morning cartoon classic when I was a kid. It wasn't one of the worst I've seen, but the dog allergy thing was silly. Mr. Socrates might have gag programming from a coder that kicked in a subroutine to simulate an allergy whenever a canine appeared.
A possibility that deserves thorough investigating.

Despite having no nose, Mr. Socrates is a very sneezy computer when Elvis is around.

Even as a kid I thought it was odd for a machine to have allergies! I used to think this was like the Wizard of Oz in which Mr. Socrates was a front for a real human who wished to remain anonymous - which would explain the aggressive sneezing when Elvis was in the room.
Interesting possibility, but needs further investigation in order to determine the facts altogether.
That's what I suspect that Mr Socrates was actually human that was hidden somewhere in the computer which could explain how he's allergic to Elvis. If the series got a second season of new episodes then they could had explored that plus gave Butch and the gang an origin story on how they got to be secret agents and rock group.
