Your bathroom mirror story made me remember ~ I was at a hotel once and discovered (to my horror and too late) that there was a full-length mirror on the back of the bathroom door...and it was situated directly across from the toilet!!! What a view ~ NOT!!!😮😂
@Nicole Relax.Cut.Glue. Your so very welcome. It really does. I just know if we ever met ee would be great friends. I enjoy watching all of your videos and listening to your blunt, honest, kind hearted words. Your silly but real. Love your work and your heart
I’m glad it helped! I love when we share what works for us. Sometimes you’ll hear of something that you never thought of and it can potentially be a game changer!
LOL to the 5x magnification 😂. If you do as I do and keep it relatively dark in the bathroom (or burn a candle only) you’d have been safe! The things we do now. (watch Wine Country if you haven’t seen it yet)
Loving your new Big Random in the Spiral bound notebook!! As i am just really starting my gluebook journey I am at 6's and 7's with how to choose images, and organize them. Thanks so much for your tips hugs, Julierose🥰
I just completed a glue book in a Dollar Tree sketch pad that was $5 and it worked really good. The quality of the paper was pretty good, too. Happy gluing! :)
Absolutely!! You can use (new or old) address books, or planners as well! I've seen very inexpensive sketch books at Walmart, Dollar Tree, Michaels, and Dollar General!
My hubs sounds like Bob with the yard. Plus I have Remy the dachshund and Bear the 1/2 German Shepherd 1/2 husky. Remy does his duty and comes right back in Bear makes the rounds, patrol , as my hubs calls it. - Kristin
That's so funny! Sherman the pug, does his business and hes back in the house. If it's a nice cool evening, he may sit on the step and enjoy just looking around. Zeena is half whippet half husky and she patrols the yard, smells all the things, and plays.
You’re completely right! I started with baskets, but I have a grid glue book, an abc book, a fashion faces/body glue book, a nature one and a random one. And i have one of those 5 sec accord folder and I made folders to go into to in with sub categories. I have fashion,faces-bodies and beauty then plants, animals, cat/dogs, then food, desserts and drinks and random things and those are all my fussy cutting things. I than have large words and a section for square/ rectangles in 3 categories s/m/l and lastly full page images for background it took me a while to figure out this works out best for me specially cause I have multiples glue books so depending on which one I’m working on I bring out the little folders I made..
LOVE IT!! That's what I do too, and it took me years before I figured out what worked for me. So basically I have little baskets all over my craft room hahahahhahaa!
I organize a lot like you do, actually. I do have a special box also for cat images, because I use a LOT of those, and I want to find them. I like the funny serendipity of discovering a word next to a random image and the humor that can arise from that. I can't think of an example, but just weird/funny/bizarre pairings, I guess. And yes, seeing something together you never would have thought of ahead of time is a great trigger for inspiration! Love your work.
We've had similar weird weather. Doesn't feel like spring. I enjoyed this glueing session. Yeah, I think I'll try your style of organizing for your different glue-book projects.... cuz that's one of the main things that's holding me back from starting.... nothing I try, for organizing my images works for me. And... the other major thing is that I don't know what to use to glue in... because many of my images are big and and I don't want to cut them down too much, because then the image isn't as good anymore..... I can't decide if I want something spiral bound or not.... (probably)... and I want something that I don't feel "guilty for wasting the pages" on..... (so something cheap, basically. ) But really.... the main reason I haven't started yet.... is that I keep choosing other projects first, and keep running out of time in the day. 😕
I totally see where you're coming from Phoebe! For me, I find it ok to spend a few bucks on a Sketchbook that's spiral bound, because I know I will get months of use out of it. My last big random glue book, I didn't complete for well over 2 years. I spent less on my sketchbook than I would buying a coffee at Starbucks. I do enjoy gluing in composition books as well, but ultimately I find it easier to glue book in a spiral bound book. You can always look at thrift stores for sketchbooks, or a spiral bound book to glue in! So many projects, so little time!! The life of a crafter lol!
Yes, It's definitely worth it for you.... because you DO use them, and you enjoy the process, and you get so much out of it.... (like I do with my "art journals")... and I keep thinking that my art journals would make perfect Glue Books, except that they're too expensive to fill up fast with all my collected images. .... *LOL!* Yeah, So many projects and not enough time.
Had to watch this twice as I fell asleep the first time lol. Love the pages, lots of fun. Sorry to hear about your traumatic event with that mirror... They are brutal! haha
Well don’t let me bore you to sleep now🤣🤣🤣 Just teasing!!! I know you’re across the world (time difference). Girl, the mirror incident was the LAST thing I wanted to see at 6am😳🤪
Sooo happy to see Big Random 2.0!!! Big Random was my introduction to glue booking and is by far my favorite type of glueing. My first (not completed yet) glue book is a bound type and I've also switched to a spiral bound. Loving it!
Oh my goodness!! I love it!! It’s one of my favorites for sure. It’s so nice to not have to worry about what picture goes with what, and just randomly glue! Thank you for sharing that with me! ❤️❤️❤️
i also have 3 bins - small - medium - large and then keep a large envelope for full pages that i harvest - and of course 2 bins for words - small and medium sized - as you said you need to find what works for you - thanks Nicole
Love Big Random and I can't decide what works for me, I think my trouble is I don't enjoy just sitting fussy cutting, I'm OK with square images but everything aches so quickly that I just glue willy nilly... Not always finishing a page and I jump around on different pages, I eventually finish them but not necessarily in one sitting. 😁😁
I totally get what you're saying. Sometimes I glue willy nilly too, and thats ok! When I first started my big random 1.0, I would glue an image or two on one page, then move to the next...I didn't feel like completing a page, I just wanted to glue. I eventually filled it up. I think we should just glue how we feel that day, and just have fun!
I love that you did the big random book. I have one too but never show it because everyone else is doing dedicated glue books and I cant seem to focus to finish one. I have a color one here I started five times and I keep misplacing it because I lose interest in the same colors lol Love your book.
I totally get that Kathie...I have like 10 glue books (maybe more?) that are unfinished. I do eventually go back to them, but I like to change things up. I get so bored working in the same thing all the time
@Nicole Relax.Cut.Glue. I didn't think you cut them up, but I wanted to ask. I like them just as you make them. I have not used magazines pages but want to give it a try they look so cool and fun to do.

Hahhahahahahaaa! What an odd placement for a mirror! LOL! I wouldn't enjoy that view either!
Watching you just makes me so happy
Awww you're the best! Thank you so much for saying that, it made my day!

❤watching you work in your Big! random 😊
I like your attitude! Thanks for sharing how you organize loosely and that works for you. I can really do that!
I’m glad it helped! I love when we share what works for us. Sometimes you’ll hear of something that you never thought of and it can potentially be a game changer!
Loooooove the Big Random!

Nice big random glue book! Thanks for sharing. 😊
FUN glue sesh!! 🩵 Big Random rocks...lovin the spiral-bound!! ❤🤗
Yay for Big Random 2.1❣️ Love these pages 💙🩵💙
My dog does the same as your two. He always walks the entire fence around the yard and then comes in! I love random gluing too.
Cool random book!
Love big random!
Oh yay a new Big Random! 😊
That glue session turned out to be so much fun. However, your stories were very interesting. A good match. Carol from California
Great fun, always a good time starting a new project!
Well done lady! Always a fan 🙂
Thanks girl!! It was so fun gluing in this today, it was like crafting with an old friend!
I am also working on big random number 2. I am really enjoying it.
Whoooo Hooooo!!!! I love it!
Ceri Griffiths sent me. You've inspired me. Recently moved, not yet able to create, but I'll get there. Thanks for sharing your creative process.

I just started a new random glue book and the way I organize my images are S M L in 3 different bins and that works for me.
Your weather report sounds like us in Minnesota. Hail & rain in April, then suddenly 76 degrees!
I've seen sketch books in the dollar tree plus section. I think I'll pick one up next time I'm there.

Yay big random is my fav! It's how I found you and how I started glue booking!
That is awesome! I love that Dani!!!

No pressure on finishing 🙂. Work on it when you find images or when you're in the mood.

😊👋👍
I have found some nice ones at family dollar for 5 dollars
Great tip! Thank you for sharing!❤️❤️❤️

Love this. I do have a question: Do you do anything with those pages? Do yiu do like tags or anything with them.
HI Marta! I do not cut these books up. They are art to me, and a form of visual journaling. They make great coffee table books!
@Nicole Relax.Cut.Glue. I didn't think you cut them up, but I wanted to ask. I like them just as you make them. I have not used magazines pages but want to give it a try they look so cool and fun to do.
