Hi! I absolutely love print magazines, both “old” and “new” styles. There is something about having the inspirations in front of me, plus many of the newer styles are as you said, just gorgeous. Some are like taking a trip to a place I’ve never been, like the Shetland Islands or Scandinavia. It makes me sad that so many don’t succeed.

As far as i Know Laine is printing 4 times a year their magazine now. Their next number is n° 21. About Making Stories, which I love sooo much, I have the subscription you mention, so great. You never loose a number and you support them at the same time. Their magazine is really great, the issue you have is my favorite so far but their oldest are great too ( the 8th is my second favorite)

Oh thank you! So glad they’re still in print!
Isn’t it lovely? It’s relatively new to me, so I’ll have to look at the back editions!

Laine went on a break a while back but are back in action and print. I had a digital option of Making Stories some time back and thought it was a great option and really good content, can recommend.

Love all the print magazines and books. I hadn't heard about the Laine magazine and did a quick google. It seems to me that Laine Publishing is still going strong and publishing print magazines (alongside all else they publish).

I would love to know what knitting books you have. I have a mix of pattern books both knit and crochet as well as knitting and crochet stich books. I love pulling them out and seeing some of the styling and some i have actually used! 😂😂

What percentage of a book/magazine's patterns do you end up making on average? It's nice that you and your sister share so they are used more!

Goodness I probably only make one or two from each magazine! That’s why I usually ask for them as gifts. I often end up waiting for them to go on sale or release individual patterns if I want to make a specific pattern.
