Hi Hannah! Glad you were able to finish your Salty Air Tee! Bummer on your Tolsta Tank - I was thinking you could use a navy DK or navy fingering held double for the neckband and armhole ribbing but I think you've started frogging already... (I'm not sure if you're frogging from the top or the bottom, but it's knit bottom-up?? anyway, not really important lol). How fun would it be if people who went to Flock sought out your sample and took pics and tagged you on IG (I am not attending Flock but I would do this!)!! Loved your thougths around sample knitting, especially the opportunity to try new yarns. It is kinda why I enjoy gift knitting too - I get to knit patterns or with colours that I wouldn't typically choose for myself.

Hiya, with your button band: you could try to Kitchener graft the additional button band. It's worth a try before you rip it all out x

Tristen’s triangles by Vanessa is a fun knit. Chunky pattern was great, I did a bit of guessing on size as I only had head measurements. I personally would add more ribbing next time but it’s super cute as is too!

Ouch, I could feel the pain of frogging some of these… but it has been motivating for me to do the same! I am first going to see if it fits my teenage niece, otherwise I am absolutely reclaiming the yarn from my Weekender and my Hiemalis too. I think both though have taught me that boatnecks and circular yokes are just maybe not the best choices for my body type. Thanks for the inspo and normalising these feelings about our craft.

If the two blacks aren't a perfect match, you could dye the whole garment with black dye and maybe that would make it more even

I'm new to your channel. I really enjoyed watching. Wishing you a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby. I don't know if this would be helpful, but I recently visited a yarn shop in Hilton Head SC while on vacation. The shop is called Low Country Shrimp and Knits. She has a website that you can order from. The shop owner is very friendly and helpful. She carries a lot of the Knitting for Olive yarns. If you don't find the missing ball it would be worth calling her shop and asking if she has what you need.

Funny you mention lavender being your color of the year - I just painted my toenails a light lavender, I'm wearing a lavender t-shirt, and have on lavender boba earrings today lol. My kids LOVED it this morning and suggested for a future week that each day of the week one week we pick a color and wear as much of that color as possible!! We'll see if that happens lol. Hey, haven’t finished your episode yet. But regarding your black Cardigan button band dilemma. Why don’t you just knit a few cm/inch in double knit as a swatch and hold it where the button band would be picked up and this way you could see if the BC Garn matches your cardigan before picking up all around the cardigan. Hope this helps and congratulations on your new baby. ❤

Love seeing all your projects and was so nice to see the pictures of all the test knits of the Micah’s Raglan Tee. Must be really nice to see your design work on actual little ones. I wish I would have been able to have a picture on a little one too but I’m planning ahead for my nephew. Your yarn you can’t find to finish your sweater, maybe try calling to see if you could still get the same dye lot, or maybe you have. Hopefully someone may see the podcast and have some. Glad you are doing well.

My knitting has been going well lately! Anticipating baby's coming meant I knit a lot to stay busy and distracted lol. I finiya ranunculus tee in less than a week, I've almost finished a newborn Micah's Raglan Tee, and I'm making progress on a fingering weight tolsta tank using kfo pure silk for the first time!

So happy for you and your family! My daughter had a similar experience - she would find herself thinking “ if” the baby is born, not “when.” All that to say that Hope will be 2 in August! We love her dearly
