    awesome video! I was struggling for this little app which was said to be intuitive, maybe it was intuitive for someone who's a bit smarter than me haha! thanks for the tutorial :)

      @@riseandalpine might be a stupid question but, it seems like I spend a lot of time waiting between the file download from 360 to my iPhone, , save to my iPhone and then transfer to my Mac for further editing. Am I missing something obvious? Is there something you do differently that speeds up the whole process? Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

    Insta360 X4 and accessories ordered using your code (all the way to Australia to ski the season in Japan with my kids). Love your work and your vibe. I don't have any of your hot sauce on hand for my filming, so I plan in sticking a chili in my underwear each ski day to achieve similar results. Love your work!!

      Thank Wayne! Really appreciate all the support. The chili in the briefs, now that's hardcore. Should yield better results. Maybe will try myself!

    James. Non-slip matting! You must have some for camping? A rectangle of that under your phone will keep it still 👍🏻

    Awesome video! Would love to see a adobe premiere tutorial with the insta360!

      I don't edit on Adobe so we might have to find someone else to do that one. I'd love to see how it integrates to editing softwares as well!

    What width should I get for my next pair of skis? I mainly ski the North Shore Mountains and I currently have a pair of carving skis 76mm underfoot. I've been looking at the Atomic Bent lineup but am unsure of which width to get, 90 or 100mm.

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If your carving skis are 76mm and still in decent condition I'd go for 100mm and then you can flip back and forth depending on snow. I still find I can carve hard on a 100mm ski

    thanks, very useful. Can you tell me if it is possible to shoot in single lens mode at the same angle as on the GoPro to see the nose of the snowboard? I just want to shoot POV without having to do editing 360 footage

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup you totally can! However, it is hard to get the right angle just like the go pro. 360 footage looks way better for snowboarders though in my opinion given the angle you ride and is worth the extra editing work. If you don't want to do any reformatting at all, look into the Ace Pro 2, I absolutely love that thing for single lens style shots.

    I feel like the quality on the camera isn’t that good do you have any advice on that?

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you're filming in 5.7k and exporting in 4k 100mpbs the footage should look great. Low light conditions can make things look a little worse.

    Do you always wear a backpack to ski? I normally don’t but want to bring my X4 with me and I feel like the selfie stick would impale me if I crash with it in my jacket at the speeds I ski at…

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I always keep my selfie stick in my jacket pocket. It fits in there horizontal and I'm yet to be impaled hahaha. However, I also ski with a backpack 95% of the time as well, got used to the feeling with all the backcountry skiing and like to drop layers quick.

    The only disappointment with the desktop 360 software is you can't trim like you can in the phone app. Phone app is hands down the best,.

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I 100% agree. The jump cut feature needs to be on the desktop studio. It saves immense amounts of storage space and export time to not have to export huge ski clips with all the fluff.
