Everybody mocked the bullet-resistant beanies and wool scarfs from The Division and the likes. Previous AC games had bosses/targets able to be one-shot or be in armor and no way to sneak up on. Usualy even an intern understands that there needs to be a logic between the gameplay and what you see on screen, and also between the gameplay and the story/setting. And so hitting a guy in robes 20 times with a katana in a game revolving around people being normal humans that die by getting stabbed once by a small wrist blade is absolutly stupid and ridiculous, it's just a great exemple of ludonarrative disconnance. Also, saying "but other games do this too" is irrelevant, this video is about AC, so I made a comment about AC, that other games are the same trash doesn't make it good or ok or even passable here, it's still bad.

In every assassins creed shadows gameplay video the game looks way too easy the enemies are barely attacking they’re just standing there waiting to get hit, you need to stand completely still for the enemies to even try to hit you
That’s pretty much how their assassins creed games have been since around origins or odyssey. I’m an okay gamer at best but I had to turn the difficulty to max during my Valhalla play through and the game was still WAY too easy. Same goes for odyssey.
That sheath blade attack is ridiculous. I get it, it doesn't have to be an instant kill, but it doing similar damage to a single standard attack is crazy after all the unique camera work and animation. They need to work on that, although we all know they won't.
Honestly sad that the new Prince of Persia didn't get much love. It was a pretty fun 2d action adventure with metroidvania elements. Combat was fairly satisfying too.

Honestly I think its turning into a Bethesda situation where they are being held back by the game engine. I don't know why but everything in the game flows so weirdly and seems so clunky. Really they should just use another studio's game engine to make their next game. I know they are using an updated version of Anvil but it just doesn't really seem like much has changed like how Bethesda went from Creation Engine to Creation Engine 2 for Starfield. It seems like it's going to feel the exact same as it has been for the last 10 years.
maybe if this game came out 14 years ago when people were asking for a assassins creed set in japan it would have done great. but other studios literally already made the game people were asking for. and now ubisofts own versions is inferior too those games. also i dont know about yall but i've not been interested in the games since origins with the introduction of the rpg weapons mechanics. older assassins creed combat had more weight to it and being in open combat was way more risky. now its all just get gear with big enough numbers. seeing my character literally impale someone with a sword and they are just a little injured is the most un satisfying thing in the world.

the desert one was the last one i ever played. it had the tombraiding and hallucinations (by definition not mirages) that created some unique moments but other than that it started to become very formulaic

My point still stands; if GT was inspired by old AC and ACS looks like a rip off of GT then somehow Ubisoft managed to make their game feel worse than their old games. Idk why they refuse to go back to the original formula for AC. I really don’t like the direction they started on with origins.
the desert one was the last one i ever played. it had the tombraiding and hallucinations (by definition not mirages) that created some unique moments but other than that it started to become very formulaic
@@oakleyvesThere’s like two desert ones. Origins, which is in Egypt and is almost entirely desert, and Mirage, which is in Baghdad (some of the time) and is mostly desert. It’s also the last one to come out so far I think.

@ I haven’t played many AC games (just part of origins, which I liked because of GT, which in hindsight might be because of what you said). My point still stands; if GT was inspired by old AC and ACS looks like a rip off of GT then somehow Ubisoft managed to make their game feel worse than their old games. Of course this is based on the incredibly short clip but I won’t be preordering ACS.
@@justanotherhuman5315AC Origins was one of the most beautiful and immersive games I've ever played. I noticed a significant drop off between it and AC Odyssey, and the rest after that is history.

You know its funny cause Ubisoft has a easy slam dunk with investing into the division 2 as its fan base has been strong for years and the story is in the most interesting spot it has ever been in and ubisoft keep forgetting about them.
Just looks like another generic sword fighting game. It's probably not horrible but there's so many other games out there that do it better.
