Thank you! 1st time Defender owner... I was putting bits back together today after installing a new heater motor and thought the cable to close the air flow went to the temp cable. LOL and OMFG. I'm glad I ran across your video to being me back to my senses.

bit late to the party but super useful video thankyou! I've got a 110 300tdi and rebuilt and reassembled, but now no power to the blower motor... bit lost!

Thanks for the video. Next time don't take your chances with the bonnet ... it can drop and f*ck you up very badly while you are working .

great vid thanks .a couple of tips i can add .insulate the inside of the heater box with self adhesive 2mm neoprene to keep more heat inside rather than wasting heat trough a steel box especially in winter time.the allard matrix altough well made is a thad expensive.a good alternative is a renault 19 (89) matrix and is close to the same size as the Allard one @ 234x158x49 mm . cost starts from £25. Cheap alternative. Been looking for alternative motors as well .ford focus comes near and way cheaper as well

Hey Viagra 4x4, in the market for a blower motor - want to get something other than the 140£ UTP1911 motor. What Ford Focus model works for the Defender Td5 set up? Do you have a parts number per chance? Cheers!

@@aodhoneill3579 I had a look on e bay . although the ford motor looks the same the connection is different.question can you take out the motor and put in the defender assembly?I haven't tried it but doesn't look impossible and way cheaper too
