The Jetta will always be my Favorite 😍 It's not the fastest car in the movie or in reality but over all it was a really nice looking car. And I still think the mk3 gen is underrated for the VW cars.
I've always wanted to do a Civic replica. When I saw the movie for the first time that summer, and saw those civics! Let's just say I got goosebumps. Same with the eclipse. I remember in the theater when the eclipse was destroyed people going "nooo" women gasped, many with the the " oh wtf!" Watched it 3x that summer, got it the moment it came out on VHS since a DVD player was still out of my price range at the time 😆. I was 17 almost 18 and can honestly say the first movie changed my life.
love the information. Would love to own a replica of brian's eclipse. Thats the car that really got me into the tuner scene. But happy building my own tuner car as well.
Let’s be honest, some parts should stay in the past. I like the Throtl approach to building these cars. Modernize them! Keep the color and graphics but put your own spin on it from there.
I bought my AXIS se7en’s in 2001 for $1,800 with Pirelli tires. Never knew that only 500 sets were ever produced. I carried them around through about 3 moves (was in the military at the time), and donated them to the base autobody hobby shop in 2010. I’ve looked for these rims numerous times since and they are hard to find. I think they produced more of the Axis Se7en Mods then the original version. Sad to hear that Lenso and Axis haven’t continued to reproduce the rims.
Hey Craig, I found hectors civic or what's left of it. Currently it's in Illinois with no body kit anymore, beat up, and some of the dash left. It's listed for $4k
Besides the obvious orange supra and 2f2f silver/blue r34.. I'd love to have the yellow r33 from the first movie, the evo from Tokyo drift, I actually even love the green evo from 2 fast 2 furious
There was a channel on YT who bought an Eclipse from Tavarish and he swore up and down that we was going to build the closest tribute possible. Now that channel has no videos on it at all. Such a shame. Just shows how lofty these goals are.
I mean he had a Lotus project that was on the back burner for years, so sometimes you just prioritize things differently. Especially since he helps out with Car Trek
Here's a thought about replica vs tribute car. Lets say you want to build Suki's S2000 from 2fast. If you watched Doug Demuro's review you would find out it's "quirks and features" for example, the interior upholstery was basically but a basic bathroom mat roughly glued into place. Would you be going to bed bath and beyond or would you have it properly upholstered like it would be if the car was real? You would probably install the neon lights a bit neater than the movie and chances are you wouldnt mess with the rear view mirror since that was modified strictly for the purpose of camera angles.
Hey Criag, love your videos, do you know what the real color code of the green eclipse is? Is it a Kawasaki green paint code or is it a Lamborghini Miura green paint code? And if you know it can you share it👍
So I definitely have to say something about these cars. I tried building a replica movie car once it got very expensive for me really quick as it was a older car. But when it comes to the fast and furious cars. The only way to get them where I can afford them is find the model kit of the car or the hot wheels version or build the car in a video game. Like I have a very I think as close as I can get version of your orange Supra from the first movie and your sliver and blue skyline from the second movie. In the game I can all of the correct parts wheels and paint and even the underglow because of this I now have at lest 3 garage Full of cars yea that’s how much you inspire me
My og car with Tanabe and body kit made by vhs Is still here. It's at the Mopar dad's shop. Rebuilt everything braking suspension and steering rack this fall. Buried in snow. Alpine touchscreen head unit lol. Im waiting to reseed the body kit sticker in your vid
I'm surprised there's not a company like duraflex that'll just mold old body kit styles and sell them out because they would make a ton of money just refabricating these body kits and selling them out
That's true mostly these body kits and these parts don't exist no more because they have been discontinued and mostly the people that sell the part or mostly second-hand parts and they're mostly used
Don't be afraid to buy reconstructed or salvage titles for any replicas or even track cars. Drives me nuts when people take pristine examples and hack them apart
I never understood the big deal about just giving part numbers out, i really cant understand why not do that. If the issue is money and time, that would be the best way to actually drive prices down
Have you ever heard about the Norwegian car movie Børning? We have the most expencive car taxes in the world it looks like, but we still make car movies
Not sure if I'm in a minority group here, but these days I prefer the tribute builds like Throtls supra and eclipse. Paying homage to the originals but being very different and more modern take on them
For wheels can’t you take them to a company that makes custom wheels and they recreate them for a high price tag? I don’t understand especially for cars in the first movie because of the demand they wouldn’t just recreate them.
Has to be a few eclipse wheels left somewhere still. i bet alot of people started replicas 20 yrs ago and either lost interest or lost money and they have stuff sitting in a barn or garage somewhere right now, people hoard alotta weird stuff.
Nice you like seeing people with replica car that looks like the movie car. Not like some female producer, who trademaked a shelby and sue people who made one... even the creator of the shelby. Good thing the courts didn't agree with her.
You have destroyed the mold for the (supra) bumper right ? i just dont see why ? You can make money of it and people can finally get your hands on a replica bumper from the right person.
I was never a fan of the ricer style. I get sick to the stomach when I see a movie replica Eclipse and find out it's a GS-T or a GSX. If they want to be accurate, they should use a garbage ass RS.
Do people care about the tacky, ugly look? I am more concerned about the performance. I wouldn't purposely go out and get a huge wing that blocks me view out of the back glass
ANY japanese car that has a steering wheel on the left is a FAKE. for example american "ae86" are not a real ae86. REAL ae86 are right hand drive only. "240sx" are not even a real CAR, they only exist in america, they are an american musce car. sorry, its a 180sx or silvia, 240sx are FAKE
The nice thing about building a replica of Jesse's Jetta is you don't need to spend the money on front brake calipers =P
Go to 7:21 and hit pause, the eclipse doesn’t have read calibres either 😂
tfw stunt car momento

I'd only want to build a Civic if my friends did too
You cant just do 1 civic. You need at least 2 other friends to do the same civics or else its pointless
love the information. Would love to own a replica of brian's eclipse. Thats the car that really got me into the tuner scene. But happy building my own tuner car as well.
Love the movies, and especially love the cars, I’ve even replicated them in GTA V, that way I can actually get to drive them all with my friends 😎
The GOAT of tuner cars, Craig Lieberman. Respect!
Love most of the 2F2F Skyline reps, usually wrong kit & wheels, all they get right is the stripes (kinda)
yea, they either use the nismo aero, wrong (but slightly similar)bodykit or a c west kit with the wrong variations
Let’s be honest, some parts should stay in the past. I like the Throtl approach to building these cars. Modernize them! Keep the color and graphics but put your own spin on it from there.
Great job as usual, old friend. Miss you guys, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I would to see more FnF videos Craig I’m always fascinated by the stories you tell about them
Sean's '71 Monte Carlo would be the best value for money F&TF replica ! ...... change my mind ! 🤔
Forgot about the easiest replica, Harry’s Lightning
A lot of people get the font wrong

Great video as always. Would you ever cover the cars from the other movies? I am pretty interested in a Tokyo drift monte carlo replica.
He’s done videos on most of the the cars from the first 3 movies already just gotta scroll back a bit to find them
Someone on Instagram made a rad replica of that car. It's my favorite in the entire franchise. It reminds me of my '71 Skylark I had in high school.
There’s a set of the lenso version of the eclipse wheels on eBay right now
I wonder how much it would be to have a another company cut those wheels and another company make all the trim pieces and stuff you need?
Hey Criag, love your videos, do you know what the real color code of the green eclipse is? Is it a Kawasaki green paint code or is it a Lamborghini Miura green paint code? And if you know it can you share it👍
What about the other cars from the entire series? Like, Letty's Challenger or Tej's Wrangler and Hobbs' armored SUV?
Love the video. thank you for the insights.
I would like a Mad Max pursuit special. Flip on supercharger 🤓
I seen a R34 rep in Auckland NZ

Mr Craig is it true that the iconic Herocar Fast 2Skyline and the Fast7 Godzilla is in the walker brothers
