Welcome to Jenkinsons Boardwalk. After the closing for the Classic Flitzer in 2018, the replacement needed to be something just as fun but with a spin. Tidal Wave is a Family Spinning Coaster from SBF Visa. The ride goes 11mph and is just over 20 feet. We hope you enjoy our POV of the new for 2019 Roller Coaster, Tidal Wave! Now Open!

Seems like every Jersey Shore park is getting an SBF Spinner lately mainly because of its small footprint and cheap price. Fortunately this one has a different layout.

Jenkinsons needs to get a ride like Hydrus for me to go back there. I stopped going when they removed Flitzer and when Hydrus was installed

Definite downgrade from flitzer. I know it was old and showing its age and rough as hell...but at least it offered a teeny bit of thrill. This...I mean, it's a pure kid coaster, which is fine I guess. I'm not a big coaster guy anyway, but I loved flitzer.

I actually went to that amusement park earlier today. I went on that ride twice, and as always, it was super fun. I recommend.

I hope this model becomes as popular as the figure-8 ones, since this one is way better. I rode this yesterday and the last car actually gets some airtime down the main drop. It's a shame the park lost a Flitzer, but the spinning and airtime pops make this a good replacement.
Edit: I just found out Jenkinsons' Flitzer still operates in Ocean City MD, so that's even better.

You can still find flitzer at Jolly Rodger Amusement Park in Ocean City MD. (My home park got a new credit!)

Its been a few years since this ride has opened and so far the ride seems to be quite a disappointment. When I first rode it, I felt like the whole dam thing would snap. The carts barely spin, there is no more air time, and overall a downgrade. While yes the reliability is 100x better as I got stuck on Flitzer, maybe a safety upgrade and new paint could have fixed it. The SBF Visa feels like a cheap replacement for a long-lasting ride.

Definitely need to be the new big air trains on this. This coaster is so boring in comparison to Flitzer, and the park already has a small but fun family coaster. Can take this to an actual thrill would be nice.
