Dear Mint Press host, Thaaaank you for having Gahdi Francis on your stream! I truy looove listening to Ghadi. She is truly a precious gem. She is so Aaawwwssoommme! Dhe is. Beautiful human being inside out! Even though she is a Christian, she has no problem quotes Ayats from the Quran to explain her points. She is genuinely a true representation of Arab christians. Thank you so much Mnar and Ghadis for your dedication and the important information that you regularly share. You are great Women. God bless you, dear Sisters.
As much as I admire Ghadi and her perspectives, I’d argue that Syria lacked the capacity to fight effectively to stop the gcide, even with an abundance of weapons, unless they were all hidden underground. Israel would have devastated the country all the same.
I would argue that Syria could have done something to take pressure off of Gaza by acting similar to Hez by stirring things up in the occupied Golan with mortar attacks etc. Drawing Israeli forces to the area. The country was likely to be destroyed either way. It has been in process for several years. I agree that alone wouldn't defeat Israel, but understand people's disappointment in Syria's non-participation in the resistance.
I get a strong impression that Bashar, despite being a dictator, didn't/doesn't have any balls. That he never wanted to be a leader and wanted to just get on with his life being a doctor or something. I don't know why he didn't just pass the torch to someone else he trusted though, maybe he enjoyed the fame and power too much? It's weird to see a tyrant who always seems to have little aggression. I don't know, I've just always found him so passive. I'm not Syrian though and obviously I've never met the bloke, it's just how he talks and acts. Contrast to Gaddafi or someone like that, (even a leader who is a quasi-dictator but not a tyrant like Sinwar was or Putin or Orban or Netanyahu himself) - they have a pair at least, that's what you expect from someone who genuinely fights for anything at all, not only enjoying his life and not caring about much else. How can you act weak and pathetic like a Western leader while also being pretty brutal? Weird guy.
16:33 not only that but also having to ration fuel because 80% of the fuel is being occupied by the US. And also the Ceasar sanctions. Flying planes and shooting missiles requires fuel and it was already being rationed for Syrian citizens and industries. It's outrageous to expect Syria to use their rationed fuel to go to war with Israel while they're surrounded by enemies on all sides who are just waiting for an opportunity to pounce. I don't understand why this is always left out of the conversations. So much of these analyses are emotional, not logical.
Exactly. She assumes they can sacrifice their entire fighting force for Palestine during a 15 year dirty war of external fighters and Zio Arab confederates money
While agree with most of what these two Sisters said. I must disagree with Ghadi about Syria's role in the Resistance camp as of late. I am of the opinion that Syria was asked by the Resistance to take a back seat towards the fighting in Gaza. You need to know where your strengths and weaknesses are and the Leaders of the Resistance knew that Syria was not in a position to fight and with Yemen, Iraq and HizbAllah joining in the fighting it was not necessary for Syria to join. Their is a bigger picture and Syria was needed for that. They have lost that now, which is not a problem, Like Ghadi said they will regroup and find other means to Resist.
Al jolani was visited in Damascus by a usa deligation He was also visited by a UN official. They changed his name to Al-Shaara and removed the bounty from his head. This ladies and gentlemen is how you kiss a frog, and it turns into a prince
Mostly a decent conversation but what’s missing is an analysis of Syrian political economy and class struggles, and the class character of the HTS as comprador bureaucrat bourgeoisie, and to recognize that this is just a changing of the guard with respect to the class which rules Syria. And the difference consists in the expansion of Turkish influence over Syria.

Ghadi ... If we wanna talk about history then persian empire owned Turkey , Syria, iraq and etc but Iranians have never said such things... because its a crazy talk
Unfortunately bashar is guilty of running away without fighting, guilty of willing to trade Yemeni relations for a better saudi/uae one. Guilty of refusing to listen to his close allies modernizing his military and to share power. Guilty of restricting weapons transfers to the resistant. If the syrian military isn't willing to fight, than you can't expect his former allies to continue to fight for him.

Mrs Francis is an excellent and almost legendary journalist. She makes so many great points about the Syrian military infrastructure being bombed out of existence. Assad's army was so corrupt that they never even used this equipment to help Syrian interests let alone the interests of Syria's allies. So the country hasn't really lost much. (Of course, Israel is still Israel and they also bombed some civilian infrastructure too) After all Syria would have definitely lost years ago if Hezbollah had not fought back ISIS and sacrificed for Syria.
